Anyone who bought them and fix them up urself...? anyone?

wondering how easy did it take u to fix it up and is there a need for any special equipment like soldering equipment..?

also how does the tone and sound compare with the original pedals itself???

thanks in advance for ur feedback..!!!

B.Y.O.C are high quality pedals. To build them, you'd need to use a soldering iron.

Here's a past thread about B.Y.O.C: Click

Just do a search. You can compare the soundclips on the B.Y.O.C website as well.

I'm sure the tone will differ - how much depends on your ears.

E.g. The BYOC Mighty Mouse, a clone of the Proco RAT, uses the modern day black box IC Chip LM-something. However, the old vintage RATs used the tin can version of that chip. Different sounds.

No thanks, most of our wish here is for ppl to be more proactive themselves....even more so when you're embarking on DIY projects like these.

Recent trends have shown SOFT to be progressing to an emergency helpdesk of mundane questions, not quoting you but some of the members in general areas.

didnt realise...

thankyou i guess???

Honestly, all the questions you asked can be found on the tymusiccenter.com and buildyourownclone.com website, as well as the BYOC forum. If anything, queries directed straight at the respective people would be appreciated.

On the plus side, checking out information on those sites and forums is part of an invaluable learning process that's really much better than just asking questions here - you learn what you might not have asked.

It has come to a point where really, many other forummers are just wasting time replying to others and not getting any knowledge in return. Such a forum is really stagnant, with a lack of an exchange of ideas. Hope you can see the other side of the mirror.

Cheers,
Raymond
