I am still bitter over the fact that I had to serve 2 1/2 years , it's bloody 6 months of my life gone, they should like cut down my reservist as compensation or something! Add to that my time was still the crappy food cooked by the ex-detainees and bloody 300 dollar monthly pay.
Anyway nothing to worry about. 2 years will pass by pretty quickly. Just keep low profile and don't use your brain, they don't really like that.

ha i am just thinking NS pay is super low imagine u earn 350 a month?
lets times 350 with 24 you only get 8000 for 2 years?!!!!!
imagine a full time worker in singapore these days they could work for 4 months and cover your pay for 2 years.
i would be glad if NS would give us time off to do some part time jobs like tutoring etc? or basically they could had increase our pay maybe to 500 i would be glad to think that 500 is reasonable.
8000 could only maybe buy me 1 high end gear. thats like too little!

I think the experience of NS is worth more than the pay. It IS an allowance after all.
For once in your life, you are working but without a care unlike a real perm job outside. You can mess around, mess up and joke around its almost okay. You make a LOT of new friends.
You really get to have a lot of fun.

Well if you wanna earn high pay then try to get into the bomb disposable unit, their vocation pay is super high, my friend who was a sergeant there was earning more than the officers.

hahaha...so its the typical..."if u wan money...u pay it with ur life"thingy...well well...im goin in next yr...hope to kena police..anyway tt can get me in there??...my cousin got in there last min..cos he kena chicken pox on the week tt he mus enter NS...den kena postpone till sept and go to police..lucky guy he is..
