Its great to know that you feel that way, as always, it sucks being the "bad guy" but hey, it takes guts for someone to be the one to point out issues and raise the ire of others.

I'm sure the Wormrot guys can pull off anything Armchair Critic does...but can Armchair Critic play like Wormrot? Don't think so. Extreme Music for Extreme People baby!!!
 
I'm sorry but seriously this 'band battle' thing is pointless. BUT, it is a good idea and concept and might work if structured properly. Sadly, the whole topic seems to be meandering downhill with no end in sight. Um, an okay submission from WORMRIOT though I guess.... a tad bit predictable and clichéd for its genre but that's just my opinion. It's still a great grind song though.

Having a competition without structure, idealogy or at least a vague fundamental purpose or point is, simply put, competitiveness for the sake of competitiveness. If the intent is to encourage bands to put their best foot forward for the sake of bettering their peers, then will such an idea work within this artificial but well-intended context? Band rivalry and instances of one-upping are best exemplified in scenarios that occur naturally, not incubated within the virtual walls of a forum.

Still, I applaud the idea and look forward to Armchair Critic's response.

Why so serious? Just have fun la...it's competition as part of SOFT...maybe next time there'll be better structure. I do hope a polling thread will be opened for people to vote who's song is better. I'll be willing to open that thread. :D

I'm sure its all in the name of fun, and it is more of a publicity stunt but in all fairness the term "competition" should not be abused.

Obviously this is not meant to be judged by a panel of 3 people.
