Anyone Listens To Green Day here?

I normally listen to mainly heavier genres, came across some of their songs while doing guard duty. Have to agree they sound good. Not your typical run-of-the-mill punk rock band. Anyone else listens to them?

Nah.. Knew them for some time, actually a few years. But was always motivated by more technical bands, DT and the likes.

Actually, mediocrity is subjective. I know alot of players who shreds and do all the legato stuffs but they don't even know what they are playing. They have troubles coming up with a 3 chord riff on their own. Technicality in all its glory, is never better than originality.

Yah, I meant the albums which were mediocore, like Insomanic and Nimrod.

lol, i used to like green day a lot, in pri school, but when american idiot came out, i was pretty pissed cos people who never heard of rock music before in their whole life suddenly popped out and saying silly things like "they are the greatest rock band"...etc. I accept the band as they are, at that standard, but Im really irritated by those punks who didnt listen to green day all along(even though ppl tried to introduce it to them), and then suddenly they think its so cool, all because its being played on the radio...and they think that Green Day is some "new and rising band", and they think American Idiot is their first album, when Green Day is actually so old, and has many songs that are much better than most songs in American Idiot! ALL BECAUSE OF RADIO!!
