The Edge`s guitar tone on the Joshua Tree album is absolutely great esp on where the streets have no name..: )
Anyone care to share any delay settings?

hofner said:all the stuff about pics is wrong he uses HERDIM(german brand) picks, with an extra raspy end , if u see beautiful day , Elevation DVD , u can hear lotsa high pitched sounds , like those toy hammers. If you were from the Old Zoo (zootopia forum) 2-3 years ago , there were like tons of threads on these picks.quote]
Spot on! The Edge uses different picks including smooth teardrops and the sharkfins among others thru the years. The Herdim pick which has a sandy type of surface is what he seems to favour these days as it gives him the ability to switch to a cleaner pick surface by merely rotating the pick around. The Awe in One pick is pretty versatile in that it allows me to switch from a light gauge jangly pick to a shredder's stub and also has the sharkfin for those U2ish passages that I also like to include in my playing more than occasionally. Great to meet fellow U2 fans here!
