hi everyone,my name is syamil but you can call me smil...i'm new around here and i need help.....the felt on my bass drum beater has had its day and i guess it's time to change a new one...but the thing is....i don't exactly know what beater is worth buying??pls do help

eliminator beaters are kinda bulky to me..

but cobra beaters are great. lightweight and the it really produces a solid bass drum sound..

btw where can i get cobra beaters? and for how much?

www.slugdrums.com -> slug drums percussion beaters are sweet. never had a chance to use then, but they look great imo.

www.marrelldrums.com -> marrell beaters, those are wonderful beaters! my friend has a pair and not only do they look good, the feel is perfect too.

for everything else, you could always try yamaha's wooden round beaters, rhythm tech's weighted beater, IC's weighted beaters or eliminator beaters. oh or DW's hardcore beaters? not sure if they stock it though.

i personnall dun like those double side beaters, cos they are more heavy XD
personal preference I guess? personally I like heavy beaters for the feel! I'm actually complaining that my pearl elim's stock beaters feel too light for me, which is why I'm considering changing to a heavier beater. i'm on the lookout myself :)

I would recommend you to buy Puresound Bassdrum beaters. I just got mine from Drum Resources and this beater it far better than the original DW beater that comes with the pedal.

Puresound beaters creates a warmer and bigger sound than other beaters that I know. Give it a try and you will know.
