a lack of background doesn't matter, what matters is the will to learn.

simplest is to get an evergreen song, and learn the chords to it. im not sure where else it was mentioned, but someone said, that way u get to learn chords and apply em, thereby remembering them better. after that, u might want to move on to songs with simple solos, there are quite a few songs from mainstream music that have simple solos. alternatively, go learn a song by ur favourite band, artiste. the possibilities, endless!

Hey um first guitar??? I bought my first guitar a Jack and Danny (J&D) Locking tremolo... It sounds great... It is a floating trem but it's not a floyd rose... Strings uber easy to change... Just need to slot the "ball" into this slot/holder thingy, tune, lock the locknuts and your're done... I just change that trem to a Licensed floyd rose today... Cos i'm expierienced enough to handle it... It's a great guitar... I love it!!! I bought it at Music theme at $300... Cheap right???
