Amp recommendation

Haha totally agree with u ized, nothing beats a 12" speaker unless a 15"?? Keke btw i do recommend the blackheart amps really nice tube amps that will not break ur bank, i think yamaha is selling the little giant combo with 12" speaker (its designed by eminence) for like around 500 (not very sure with the price but i think shouldn't be too much of a difference).......

haha there is a 15" speaker? i thought got only 4x12 stack....15" is like those huge bigg ass venue speakers already.

I know, i have that, just that the seventheaven dosent really sound very good with it...got some issues with single ended amps....anyways mine is the head and cab version....my uncle borrowed it for his jazz gig and he really rikes it...so i need a new amp!

i cannot agree more on getting a valbee! though i doubt 180 is the price leh.

i used a cubex before my valbee, and the sound from both amps are way different. though the speaker size from the valbee is smaller than the cubex, we're still looking at bedroom amps at bedroom volumes arent we?
lets face this, eventually, you will get your pedalboard complete with your desired effects (due to gas, diversification, etc). so built in effects are only temporal imho. but a valbee will last you and satisfy your needs over time as a bedroom amp.
the option of letting you swap tubes gives you option of your desired tone (darker, brighter, sparkliER, etc) but to me, the stock china tubes are good enough and i wont be changing them til they go boom or something.

just A/B both of them side by side and you'll be able to make a decision..

15" speakers were found in some dumble amps. 15s more often are used in bass amps.

Well, speaker size is really a matter of preference. Some like 10s, some 12s. Usually the smaller the speaker size, the less bass can be heard.

59' reissue Bassmans ship with 4x10s last I checked.

If you have a really bassy amp, maybe a 10" will help EQ it out a lil.

To the TS: try looking for used vox AD15s or AD30s, they are within your price range.
