Yeaz i agree... it's really silly if you knowz someone else has ur password and still not change it?? datz inefficency and carlessnessss.
So who 'hacked' in?? I hope the band isnt juz uzing this "hacked' or 'not hacked' thing to get more 'publicity' again.

they changed it right after they found out about the whole thing.. but apparently their new password gets sent to their email ac and the culprit probably has the email password too.. that's how he sent the next post..
haha.. i find it so funny and ironic.. cos the first one was sent without a sign off name and then when z3r0_g responded to soft and said that if it was any of them they'd sign off with their name and then the in the next post, the culprit decided to sign off.. i see he's become smarter now.. lol!
and to why i can't voice my suspicion, thats simple.. singapore's so small and he'd hunt me down in no time.. together with his oh so loyal fans.. i was a fan/friend of him and looked up to him until i got to know him better.. i think u just wont know the true colours of a person until u've worked with him for a long time..

It amazes me how many people here are willing to believe Aphonia as a band take this lying down.
You think they'd not change the password?
You think they like their band name being screwed over on soft?
You think they'd risk all the money invested into the band by having some terribly terrible creative marketing scheme?
Granted I've seen musicians who are off their rockers, still tho I have also worked on music related projects with some of the Aphonia guys before Aphonia came about, they are very functioning people who wouldn't do retarded things like what we've seen.

Hi guys. Sorry that this has happened yet again. This person is seriously out to get me. I believe that knowing how the local msuic scene has to grow, one would never bother to try negative publicity.
I discovered a serious flaw when I changed the password. The password can be easily retrieved through the band's e-mail.
I did not realise it until i tried to set a new Myspace password again today. I also tried to change the Myspace account's contact e-mail but it needed verification from the previous e-mail account. When I tried accessing it, the e-mail account's password had been altered.
So this person must know our e-mail address and password as well. The e-mail address and password was sent out to our very first members which included MYSELF, CALIN and of course DARREN.
Calin and I are still very close in contact since we're still in the band and making new music. I don't think any of us would want to harm our own reputations. After Darren insisted on taking back the songs we pieced together, we weren't left with much material. On the day this blog was posted, the whole band was at Eugene's place writing new songs.
When the first issue of rude comments happened, I confronted Darren and he denied the actions. He also claimed before that he did not know the password to the e-mail account he first created.
Guys, I have been neglecting the myspace page because we don't have material to show. Why would I bother wasting my time?
renquan, I believe that I've mentioned before in this post that issues like these should be handled privately. You should have contacted me directly instead of posting this up.
TO THE CULPRIT: I'm not afraid of what's happening dude. I've a pretty good idea who you are. Remember, no matter what a nice guy I am, I have a limit too, like everybody else. You have not grown up and you are using very lowly methods of getting your way. I suggest you contact me as soon as possible and apologise to me and the public. If not, things will get ugly. I assure you.

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was hacked again, all u dimwits actually bought it again and again and again and again, and fer God's sake, its just a freaking band la!

i know some members of aphonia personally, and i feel that i have to put in my 2-cents worth regarding this issue.
i just spoke to calin regarding this whole fiasco, and i am very sure that aphonia is not behind this 'publicity stunt', as what some of u pple claim it is. some person has obviously hacked into both their band myspace and email accounts, and posed as titus in the 'apologetic' post.
no matter from whatever perspective that i look at this issue, it seriously does not make sense that aphonia would do something so detrimental to their reputation just to get attention. here are a few reasons that u guys should consider before condemning aphonia to oblivion.
1) posting really vulgar comments/blog posts/ etc would most definitely garner them attention, albeit really negative ones. however, this is totally out of sync of their attitude and character.
2) prior to this aphonia is working very hard to raise their band reputation, and getting themselves recognised professionally and musically in the scene. anyone with common sense would know that pulling such a stunt would seriously undermine all the hard work that they have been putting in.
3) the writing style of the person who did the so called apology is totally different from the way titus writes. enough said.
in any case, a few of our friends have advised aphonia to report this matter to the police. singapore is taking cyber crime pretty seriously, especially in the case of identity theft. we have consulted a few lawyer friends, and we believe that aphonia has a very strong case to work with. the police has a special unit dealing with such issues, and the tracing down of the IP address of the impersonator is something that can be done very easily.
enough with all the blaming and speculation. the truth will come to light soon. i seriously urge the malicious perpetrator to come forth and clear the air, before things get really really messy.

Firstly, Zax: we're very sorry that you have to 'kena' all this shit... please understand that we don't mean anyone any harm at all, and especially not you... we hold ZERO grudges against you and we value you very much as one of our friends.
It would be interesting to see what this hacker will do next, so people if there are any updates pls do let us know.
One very unfortunate thing: our myspace account is currently not under our control. we are able to log in and control the account, but so can the hacker. as titus has explained in his latest post in this thread, no matter how many times we change our password, the person who has access to our hotmail account will know. and we suspect the person who has access to our hotmail account is the one hacking into our myspace account.
second: we HAVE changed our password. Three times.
Currently we are in the midst of appealing to myspace about our account, and if it gets worse, we might file a police report. Hopefully it will not come to that, we want as little trouble as possible.
We take our band and our supporters very very seriously, and any attempt to spoil our reputation through underhand means will be met with full force retaliation. We have absolutely no reason to go about dissing people/jamming studios or writing ridiculous blog posts, especially Titus, when he is trying so hard to get the band working after Darren has left us. [We are currently writing new songs, and our newest single "You Were Gone" (revamped) will be released on myspace soon.]
That being said, we want to thank all the people who have stood by us through this, your support is truly appreciated.
Another thing that we have noticed: there have been random mentions about what a good person Darren is and how nice he is, which leads us to wonder what do these posts have in relation to the current thread.
One point that the band would like to clarify: Darren has voluntarily left Aphonia, albeit suddenly, and is not part of the band anymore. We, of all people, know that he is undoubtedly a nice person, and he has contributed a hell lot to the band, and we appreciate it very much. Part of the reason why we are continuing the band after he has left is not to waste the effort that he has put in.
But, like I said, he has left the band on his own, and whatever the band is going through right now has no relation to him.
The reason why we are not setting up a new myspace account is because the contacts we currently have are very valuable and it would be in our best interest to retain them.
Once again we apologize if anyone has been offended through this major cock-up and hope that you will forgive us. And to the person who's causing all this trouble, here's a big fat middle finger for you and we hope you'll grow up soon and stop giving us unnecessary problems.
