Alphonia has issues

I agree with freeflowclass.

Darren Karma is a really nice guy... tho I met him only once when he drummed at Esplanade... :) Check out his myspace account here.

MySpace gets hacked all the time... so jus change ur password and all should be fine.

As for all those 'ugly' comments... just forget it... if really someone hacked, then it's cleared. But if it's not... then whoever in the band that dissed zax better stop it...

Juz my 2cents worth.
 
A friend

He was my platoon mate when we were in Tekong for BMT and all I can say is Darren (or Darren Karma as everyone knows him) is a true musician with a heart for penning his songs and drumming... He's also a GREAT friend to have because he's such an easy-going non-pretentious dude...

He used to talk about Aphonia all day long because it was his 'baby' and he gave everything he could for it as band leader at that time..

So I tink the last thing that he would want is to see Aphonia go down in shambles after he has passed the leadership on to some1 else. As it is there's already not much news ever since FYS 2.

So guys, just give the band a break... whether their account was hacked or not... leave it as it is and let the band just try to regroup themselves as they're going thru this down period...
 
Dear all, I am a good friend of Darren. I have also jammed with Titus and went to a couple of Aphonia's shows. Darren and I were coursemates and school friends in mass comm and i just want to confirm that this is a misunderstanding. the account was hacked(probably by some loser who doesnt like Aphonia, probably jealous of their awesome songwriting or technical skills or just has a grudge against someone in the band)so if anyone has been offended by that no-named guy, please try to understand. Hope that is cleared up now.

Zax, I would appreciate it if you in the future clarify with someone you know(like me for instance, since you know me personally and you knew beforehand that i am Darren's friend) before you start launching disparaging remarks about someone you don't know personally. This is a public forum and reputation plays a serious part in making or breaking a band's repertoire. I'm sure you wouldn't want this kind of thing to happen to your band Shotgun Start would you? So please, in future think before you post something like this. In this instance you should know I am only a mere phonecall away.

I'm actually glad this was made known otherwise we would have been left in the dark. But like Darrell said it would have been better handled privately.

To all who may have received nasty messages from Aphonia's Myspace I once again apologise and hope that you have not been offended. Please contact me if you have received any of these messages.

Thanks to all who still support us. I sincerely hope that this issue will be finally put to rest. And to all who have wondered what has happened after FYS 2, be prepared for something drastically new very soon! ;)

The issue has been explained already , topic is over . and i think what i posted initially speaks for iteself

Glad that in a a nutshell, Aphonia has many friends and fans coming in a strong show of support even in these instances. The guys who spoke up for Aphonia, i wanna thank you on behalf of a good friend for keeping your faith in them, I am sure that they wont disappoint in future. Its great to see this strong show of rally and support even in such difficult times, it just goes to show that although Singapore's music scene may be small but it is a united one with strong bonded community.
