that is exactly the reason why i said the Wii owns! :lol:vernplum said:IMHO the decision to buy should be made based on what games you want to play, not what the hardware can do...
This is part of the reason why Nintendo doesn't enter the hardware arms race (the Wii technology isn't a huge leap forward in technological power as its predecessor the GameCube) - they realised long ago that the only thing that matters is gameplay.
Nintendo is the pioneer of modern console-gaming, and will remain to dominate the gaming industry. They think differently, and thats what makes them great. The Wii's graphics may not b cutting-edge and physics-savvy, but their games will PWN big-time. Mayb for some the new method of controlling looks and sounds too much of a hassle, but there are add-ons for those who want a more traditional layout. There are many gamers who live for the gameplay, and this is for them.
However, for the rest who love photo-realistic gaming, the PS3 is the ultimate machine. Nobody can argue with the fact that the graphical advances are well ahead compared to other consoles. But hey, gaming computers will always reign in the graphics area. Just too bad that most of the fun games, especially the figher/brawler genre, are not released for the PC. Afterall, consoles are stripped-down personal computers made for only one purpose.
Anyway, abt the games for PS3. The arsenal of genres will grow bigger..the top developers have gathered to make every possible game release for the PS3. Ofcourse, Crysis will b too powerful. So games like that will b the only exceptions, they won't appear on any console.
Personally im not too much of a M$ fan. Their consoles are nothing to go gaga over. New player in the industry, and unless they can stop coming up with bloatwares & other irritating issues on the computing side, mayb their ideas on console gaming would b better. Hell, some of their own consoles run Linux!
Any of u still have ur Atari?
