All A level 08 students

anyone knows if US schools look at the A levels much, lol. i'm getting hellishly disillusioned.

To daryl, not that I know of. They generally look at SATs. On the other hand, much of the Commonwealth and the UK places great emphasis on A levels, even in place of CCA records which they generally gloss over quickly. People applying to Cambridge with predicted results with conditional agreements can attest to this.

Damn man, I feel WAY to relax for A levels. After the fiasco of SEA, that is.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO START THE BATTLE TOMORROW!

anyone taking KI/ Art/ Music?

heard they are not recognized in UK.=\

i passed the Music and KI aptitude test in my school but dunno to take KI or nt.
haha.

MUSIC IS A MUST!!!

( am i OT?)

KeDraiv, KI is really really interesting if you like questioning things a lot. You COULD take it for j1 and drop it for gp at the end of the year. The same skills are needed anyway.

I failed KI for my promos so i have to drop it, but if I had passed i probably still would have dropped it. The independent study would be too time consuming and KI doesn't really have much recognition yet. But if you read a lot and are lit oriented then ki could be better for you.

cool ok thanks,

i think i'm nt taking it.
cause i have no discipline.
i can like see myself rushing to complete the independent papaer already lah

haha.

good luck ppes!!!!
my sis is taking too, and she's mugging like mad.
so that means i can only play my guitar while she's asleep ( like now)

haha.

Wow GP certainly wasn't a walk in the park. The passages were not very direct and required quite a fair bit of deep understanding.

I did qn4 for essay. What did you guys do ?

P.S. How was geog for you triple-paper guys? ;)

GP was alright for me. But the problem with GP the results are very unpredictable. Even if you feel confident you may get like some lousy crap ass result.

I did question 3! I practically studied to write about religion, so I wrote around 5 points which took around 6 pages.

The comprehension was not that bad, indirect, yes, but doable.

"Contemporary music is losing its artistic value"??

Actually I didn't do that question too lol. Tempted to do it, very tempted, but not easy question. My friend who is also on SOFT wrote that, he spam all the music shit John Mayer Waiting On the World to Change and John Lennon Remember all that.

If I wrote that I'd have written a long scathing essay against contemporary music.

Nyeh. Question 8. Truckload of content on Singapore's helping the disadvantaged, info-dump.

P2? GG

Geog. All those little little things you tend not to notice and droughts(again) and a bit of higher order thinking.

Hydrofly: Why against contemporary music leh?

Meekahsoh: You take H2 geog? I took H1, NO MASS MOVEMENT AGAIN?!?! But at least had all the essays I spotted.

Yeap H2. No mass movement? We had a 4 mark part on mass movement, what did you spot? All those that I wanted, plate tech and tropical cyclone never come out.
