Adjusting pickup height

Hi Bass People,

I wanna adjust my pickup height, but when I unscrew the screws on my pickup a little bit, they just look like they're gonna come out, and the pickup height doesn't change at all.

Anyone have any idea what I've gotta do to adjust the pickup height?

update: it's the screws baby, my pickups were moving alright, but it's only by a matter of micrometers or something :lol:

my intonation got screwed up when i moved it too high, but it's ay-ok now and i'm getting an awesome distorted tone with all sorts of nonsense un-wanted (wanted) noise.
