The meetup was awesome! I had lots of fun and learned new stuff. It was great to put faces to the nicknames we see here all the time too.

Unfortunately I had to rush off for jamming. Couldn't stay to have a drink and chat with everyone after the meetup.

Many thanks to drum_hobbyist for pimping up my filter china. Sounding nice and washy. The sound comes out more when I use it with my band now

It was my first meet-up and I enjoyed myself thoroughly too!

Although I must apologize for being late. I overslept 'coz of the rain and I was a little sick due to the flu bug.

And I thought David, Alfe and Alvin shared some great pointers today too. For me, sometimes, it's not just about technical chops I would love to learn more. There's also the "approach" to drumming.

So...ROCK LAH! ME LOVE IT!

Brain a little too exhausted. How could I have forgotten to thank James and Mapex drums for supporting the drumming community on Soft. It was awesome news for us!

Even Boon (the man responsible for Drum Fest and bringing in Thomas Lang) came down. Can't thank him enough for bringing such world class drummers to our shores.

On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank everyone who took time off to come down. Especially those who have gig/jam after the meet-up. Thank you for coming!

D_H, thank you so much for helping me to drill the holes and add nuts to it. I didn't really thank you today because I was a little lost when you pass me the cymbal. You work fast and precise man. The holes are drilled so evenly apart. I owe you another coffee. :lol:

The meet-up can only be successful because of everyone's willingness to share. I'm sure most of you guys have enjoyed the meet-up.
