4th Soft’s Drummer Meetup & Exchange On 23rd June 12-5

Thanks drum_hobbyist for the cymbals. I love the Meinl crashes! Very nice to ride on. smildrumez's pedals were quite interesting too. Innovative ah! Liked RD's Factory Metal efx cymbals too. Great for accenting.

Yeah Anish. Time to change your nickname to THE Rocker now. Killer chops you have! :D

Nice to finally make it for a meet and see more of the faces behind the nicks.

Only regret is that I don't have much to share because I don't get to practise much these days.

Note to newcomers who might not have much to share: Come! There's no need to be intimidated, it's perfectly fine to sit back and let the older brothers take lead. I had nothing prepared, but since they asked, just sat down and noodled around a bit anyway. Chill. Come. I went and I'm alive :)

drum_hobbyist:
Wah shiok ah! Must try those Paiste pies!
Speaking of which, Wee Lee studio (Aljunied) room 3 has this oldddd Paiste Sound Formula crash. Sounds damn shiok man. I asked Sam if he is willing to sell it to me today, but he didn't want to. He said it's a very lasting cymbal so he intends to keep it. When I told him that the Sound Formula series is a very old series (is it out of production already?), he was quite surprised. He never knew!

weckl-x:
Oh yeah. Nice meeting you after so many years hahahaa.

Man, that Steve Gadd vid reminds me of the killer solo Liang Hong (did I get his name right?) did that day! S'pore Steve Gadd!

I was eyeing on SF 18" Crash 3 Swee Lee sales ago but someone was ahead of me but still managed to get the Power Ride... it is so good that the chairman of Changi Golf Club who himself is drummer made an offer when he heard it in a gig at the club by my brother's band... haha not for sale... collector's item just like the SF... 8)
