hmmmm.,........wat was ur 1st ever song u play completely
rite from the first note to the last....?

mine was For Whom The Bell Toll by metallica

any1 care to share?
 
Mine is 18 and life by skid row. Though can play the whole thing, it still sounded like crap. Have to practise more. Anyone knows of any easy song to train on for someone who played for around 10 months?
 
What instrument do you play, Mr_X? for me, the first song was Fade to Black by Metallica, don't know why I played that song lol.
 
well he did say play from first note to last. I was particularly luck on that day. Guitar? the rhythm part on "For whom the bell tolls" by Metallica is the easiest I've ever come across. You should be able to do it with no problem =)

Practice power chording and rhythm chops: Wicker Man

More picking oriented: Fear of the Dark.

Both are rather simple.

Eh.... the whole song like power chording leh... except the solo. Solo is manageable lah. Not too easy.

But that song made me fall in love with power chords. That and the rhythm to Metallica's Whiskey in the Jar.

My first song learnt, never completed... cant remember which came first. Either Love Song by Tesla, or *gasp* The Hell Song by Sum 41.

Anybody remember that hilarious Sum 41 home video where they robbed a pizza parlour and shot a water pistol into some black girl's car?
 
Ahhh okay. I also prefer a wide view of music, rather than specialising in a particular genre. I played fade, yes, then a friend of mine asked me to play a punk rock song. and suddenly, i realised i sucked at it. Lol
