Hi Softies, I was thinking about starting a thread. But first I need to know if there's gonna be any response from you people.

The thing is here:-
I will upload a backing track with any chord progression and you softies will solo over that progression then upload it back here where others can give comments.
Sounds interesting right? Please plan you solos first nd try to be really creative. Then after that maybe you can explain how you come about your solos

Ok thats all. If theres no response at all then just forget abt it. But I personally think this is going to be great.
 
yes i think that's a good idea!
another forum does something similar to that but they have threads like " strictly lydian " or " strictly funk " and they have backing tracks similar to that. (ibreathemusic.com)
 
Hmmm... this was done before... search up the Open Mic section.

The main thing that will keep this running is - participation & commentary. Most probably the threadstarter will have to be the one giving the comments/critique and that will spur the rest to chip in.

I personally believe that such threads really help players - but there must be input. Otherwise, what improvements? It just degenerates into a feel good thread to feed egos.

Hi just wondering if anyone of you here knows how to upload songs. I'm still looking for ways where ppl can just access the files easily and then attach it back to this thread.
Need help here guys. We can make this happen. I can't wait to hear all the fancy stuff you guys can come up with. This will be more interesting than just type up words that sometimes we don't even know what it actually meant. This will definitely broaden our horizon. This will be a good thread to gain more shredding power. Yeah!

I think it's a very good idea!Please arrange it soon,though i'm a sucky guitarist,but whut the heck,let's give it a try!:D
 
ok guys i will upload the backing track tommorow. Its almost done. All you shredders can start your shredding sonn. I will upload with my own take of the track first.

Yup its sort of funkish. I try to cover every aspect of rock. What backing track do you exactly have in mind? I can try to make 'em for ya. But you gonna have to shred over it. That's what this thread is all about.
