Your first self-bought album/CD/cassette

Monday's blues creeping in so I guess I start something

My first self-bought album was in 1987, I saw this album cover on this cassette,intrigued by it and bought it from the ah pek at old Taman Jurong when they still have the cinema back there..it was a real ghetto area back then..it was a tossed up between a GI Joe toy (Snake Eyes) and that album..

and that album got me hook on guitars..
I'm still wondering if I made the correct move?? coz now that GI Joe toy cost a lot of $ in ebay...

i cant remember what was my first cassette,but the old cinema at taman jurong, i remembered that place very well, i stayed round taman jurong from birth till i was 11..

I can't really remember what was the first cassette I bought.....so long ago lah. But I remember it was a "copy", some compilation of songs (Billboard 100?), sometime in early 80's, paid $1.80, bought from a shop on the 2nd floor of Katong Shopping Centre.

^ Haha! Speaking of boy band, the first CD I bought was..."New Kids On The Block" (urggh!). Until today, I can never forgive myself for making that stupid and rash adolecent decision. Well, everybody was young and foolish once!

Ahh.... I can sure remember what my first purchases are...

My first bought cassette was Metallica's Jump In The Fire EP. Comes with a free Metallica pendant as well. First time I ever heard Creeping Death and fell it love with it...

First CD was Megadeth's Rust In Peace when my brother bought a new Sony hi-fi system with a CD player...

Both were still during my primary school days.... Memories...
