Your favourite solos...

Totally agreed, always been impressed by Steve Vai's playing. He proves that you don't have to be the fastest shredder on the planet to be great!

Dimebag!! - Psycho holiday
Dimebag!! - Art of shedding
Dimebag!! - Mouth for War
Randy Rhoads - Crazy train, Mr Crowley, I don't know
Zakk Wylde - Road to nowhere, Desire

Tesla - Love Song
Randy Rhoads - Suicide Solution
Megadeth, Mustaine - Last solo of Holy Wars
Megadeth, Friedman - Clean arpeggios in High Speed Dirt...really sweet

It's sweet to know that RANDY RHOADS is close to many bros here at Soft. Actually he is a heart-keep everywhere but I'm glad that Softies love Randy Rhoads' stuff.

Bestest ever - and with a heart of gold. And oh so beetiful notes, not just here or there, BUT EVERYWHERE! It's like every note he played was so important to him. Each note he played had some soul in it. I can't say of the same for any other guitarist.

Folks, do look out for Randy's forthcoming movie/documentary.

For sure we'll have a thread on that!

yes randy rhoads still lives. my favourite metal guitarist of all time.. can you imagine the stuff we'll be hearing now if he was still alive. its unimaginable.

i love solos that are melodic. fast or slow, being melodic kicks ass. here are some of my favorite solos.

Randy Rhoads - Crazy Train
Slash - November Rain
Angus Young - Shook Me All Night Long
David Gilmour - Money, Comfortably Numb

Can we gather all the boy bands and exchange them with God for Hendrix, Bonham, Bon Scott, Randy Rhoads, Cliff Burton?

Dude, thats a great point. Exchange those silly boy bands for the dead stars. Include Kurt Cobain and Freddie Mercury too! My one of my fave solo, Randy Rhoads' Crazy Train~!

Cemetary Gates -- Pantera (Dimebag)
Floods -- Pantera (Dimebag)
Tornado Of Souls -- Megadeth (Marty Friedman)
Crazy Train -- Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads)

my current fave solo is by In Flames in Zombie Inc. sweet

YEAH!

that song rocks but to me it seems more like an interlude than a solo. but hell, they're juz as good with acoustic as with electric.

=]=]

personally i don't have lyk a favourite solo since they always change with times. prefer to call them instrumental songs or instrumental interlude.
