i dont exactly have a favourite bassist.

i appreciate every musician, however i admire those who play instrument
and sing at the same time.

like tom araya,mark from blink182.

i do like fleas funk and energy though:)

i search at yahoo, for the best bassist in the world...
in a forum they say mike dirnt is the best....
is he really the best???

There is no best... There will always be people who say Victor Wooten's the best, or Stu Hamm..

Dirnt holds back a lot on Green Day albums. I'm pretty sure he's more capable than what he plays, but it suits the type of music I guess. Then there's Matt Freeman, who's arguably one of the best punk bassists out there..

You can't compare Matt Freeman to Victor Wooten; they're on totally different ends of the music spectrum.

So yeah.. no best :) Only what suits you the most.
 
I like Sheehan too!

Jeff Berlin looks a lil weird to me but he plays great.

@superkicky: Yeah! I'm very sure Dirnt holds back alot in Green Day. No One Knows is a great song that exhibits quite a melodic side of Dirnt.
