I guess all plays a part in determining whether is one would come for a gig or not. I guess cost wise, its not so exp to pay $15 to watch 10 bands w a housepour

Look at Ronin's album launch party at Rouge for example. Its in town area & its free b4 9pm, but I'm sure people wldn't mind to pay to watch em' perform live too. Its only 1 band somemore

I personally wld be more concerned with venue. If its convenient & centralized, I wldnt mind coming down.

But on the other hand, if the crowd pays 15bucks to get in, I strongly believe that the management of the club/pub has to compensate a little to the band. Like drinks are the norm and at least some money for transportation.
