First of all, I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused for my previous posts... After days and nights of meticulous research, i finally concluded that this is a Standard MIJ instead of a 57... I would like to thank everybody who corrected me (even those who insulted me). Goes to show that MIJ Fujigen strats are really a pain in the ass to do research but once u understand, the knowledge is all the more sweeter... So here goes....

Letting go of the above mentioned guitar... Parts upgraded... Comes with a gig bag... Selling cheap cos i just bought a Gibson... Details are as follows...

- Pups changed to Fender 57/62 Vintage
- Orange drops added
- All pots changed (250k)
- Selector switch changed
- Volume/tone knobs changed to ivory white
- Pup covers and other cosmetics changed to ivory white
- Pickguard changed to 3xply (white)
- Shielding done
- New nut, bridge, saddles etc
- New screws all around

Basically all parts were bought off amazon... Only the neck wasn't touched as i wanted to keep its relic'd state...
Setting up and intonation done by TYMC...

No lowballers please... Firm on price... I'm already selling it lower than most stock MIM Fender Strats that you see here... My loss your gain...

Interested parties pls pm me @ 90019171(Remy)

p/s I am just a guitar enthusiast, not doing this to con people and make a quick cash... I apologise again for any inconvenience caused... Thnx and have a nice weekend...

Reason for lowering of price cos an MIJ Standard is definitely cheaper than an MIJ 57... Since i offered $600 previously, i'm willing to lower it to $550...

To air things up.. I was the previous owner of this guitar.

This is a '57 strat. Maple-Fret, 8 screw PG. Standard usually have the 11 Screw ones. This particular guitar is made in Fujigen and if im not mistaken previously all fujigen made guitars came with Gotoh tuners instead of the vintage ones. Hope that clear things up. I may be wrong though...Price is definitely a steal here !

Good luck with the sale :)

If you really want to find out the model of this guitar, the best way is to take off the neck from the body. you can find out the actual model and no one can question that.

Yes this is not a 57 ri. 1st, the logo is not the traditional spaghetti type. this logo belongs to the standard series. 2nd, the pickguard is 3 ply not 1 ply.

in the worst case scenario, there could be extra holes under the strat pickguard.

I might not know everything about Fender guitars but definitely enough to know that this should not be considered a 57 ri. It is not professional to misrepresent something that you have for sale.

Fender guitars have many changeable parts. consumers should be more careful when purchasing a used one online.

Ahh I see...guess the next time I really have to dismentle and check carefully.. was told by previous seller that it was a ST-57 back then because of the "8 screw" instead of 11 one and that Fujigen made fenders came with gotoh tuners instead of kluson ones. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Still good luck with the sales Remy !

sorry bro if i may ask... but how do u differentiate the logo? from my research a standard has silver colored logo, dia one is gold colored?

and from my description ive mentioned dat i changed the pickguard to a 3xply...

hope u can enlighten me cos i really want to learn more abt mij strats...

the emphasis is not that how many holes the pickguard has. reissue means that it should follow the same configuration as the original guitars made in either 57 or 62. if we are talking about a 57 ri, it should have a 8 hole single ply pickguard. 62 ri would have a 11 hole 3 ply pickguard.

in both cases, all 57/62 reissue strats have spaghetti logo. no exceptions.

there are many variations in the models. a MIJ Jazzmaster can be a JM66-70, JM66-80. both are JM66 but what are the differences? JM66-70 is either basswood/ash while JM66-80 is alder. same model, different specs.

that being said, yours can be a standard series but with different specs. if you want to be 100% sure, just take off your neck from the body to verify.

anyway, saying any more wouldn't be beneficial for anyone. take off the neck, verify the model, get your specs right from online sources and learn along the way.

haha cannot la bro later must intonate n set up back... more headache...btw thnx all of u for ur inputs... i am humbled by all of ur knowledge... as i said im learnin more n more along the way...cheers bro...

yup dats e best way to know e real model... but e prob is who would want to dismantle it... too much hassle... wats most important is the sound dat comes out from the amp... for example a squier is a squier but classic vibes are one of the best kept secrets out there... and swing guitars may not be as popular as fender but believe me they are one of the best strat copies pound for pound...
