Now becoming increasingly rare & difficult to find due to ESPs restructuring & discontinuation of the much of the Standard Series - this sexy strat puts most Fender USAs to shame with it's awesome build quality, tantalisingly resonant tone & silky smooth playability. The distressed relic finish is merely the icing on the cake for this high end spec modern take on a traditional design. This is an axe that definitely plays just as good as she looks.

Another one of those many overpriced shameless Fender strat "inspired" instruments... which is basically a Fender strat....

Mate, are you fucking serious? Cuz if so, the degree of your ignorance is truly astounding.

Have you actually ever played an ESP Vintage Plus for yourself? To be perfectly honest - this absolutely shits all over USA Standards & Fender Japan's, & is at least on par with the Deluxe/Vintage/Signature lines that are at a significantly higher price point.

The fact is that ESP have next to impeccable quality control, of which the same can't be said of Fender's in recent times. This is indeed a strat by design & conception, as it was intended to be - but there's certainly no shame in that whatsoever when it manages to not only match, but in fact surpass it's original inspiration in terms of performance & polish. It's shamelessly brilliant is what it is. & at the discounted rate that I'm offering it for, this is anything but overpriced.

If you're seriously making an argument for a supposed 'lack of originality' - then I guess ESP Navigators are just wildy overpriced Fender & Gibson copies in your books right? I guess Orville & Tokai are little more than poor-value plagiarised replicas? Jackson PC1s/Adrian Smiths, Charvels, Suhrs & Tom Andersons are all just souped-up rip-offs of 'the real deal' eh?

I'm sorry for the rant & I wouldn't usually have taken the bait if it was a semi-reasonable thoughtfully explained comment - but I mean, do you really not realise how much of an elitist cunt your severely flawed logic makes you appear to be?

Saddest of all, the truly ironic thing is that so many of these 'shamelessly' inspired/embellished designs of the proclaimed 'originals' happen to be vastly superior when you're not just looking at the name on the headstock; certainly in terms of performance-to-price ratio.

Hence the fact that you claim that this is overpriced in comparison to anything in Fender's current line-up, is absolutely & entirely beyond me when it happens to be one of the most impressive strats I've ever laid my hands on & every bit as nice as the alternatives in the same price bracket.

Just because it doesn't say 'Fender' on it doesn't mean that it's an inferior instrument in any way; the complete opposite in fact being true in this case.
