I am looking to SWAP my recently bought M.I.A 2005 Gibson SG Faded with a MIA Gibson Les Paul (any model). Bought as a present to my son... but He wanted a les paul....

The condition of the SG is excellent frets n pick ups, no chips, dings nor scratches, vintage looking, was told used to be part of a collection.

Please dont asked me for any booklet or watsoever, all I was given by a reputable Guitar Center (Tell you d shop's name when you email me ur interest); d guitar, a gigbag (non gibson) and an official receipt.

Not trying to make $, but also trying to avoid forking out more $.... jus give me a Gibson les paul to swap :) for my son....

Conditions of LP apply

PS: Dear Softie, the receipt stated 2005 Gibson SG Classic but when I googled I got the feeling its Gibson SG Special. When asked, the shop mentioned could be an old model(?)... please enlighten me over this... Tq

Get back to the store and get them to issue you a new receipt? Unless the buyer doesnt mind the error in model.

Sorry guys.... Decided to keep it, my son actually finds its more suitable for his punk rock taste, thinking of changinf d pick ups to bareknuckle. Nevertheless will ask d shop to issue another receipt with corrected model ad your advise... I like d antique look... Suitd my living room :) probably will get an epi lp custom or gibson lp jnr next... Thsnk you n GBU...

Well when i was young all i had was a kapok guitar which i shared wif my bro... When my son, asked to keeo my nirvana, gnr, n greenday CDs... I was excited that he shared my kind of music :) am not rich, but i onky got one son... Getting a guitar for him is like satisfying my desire 20 yrs ago... Anyway he too willing to sell his game consoles n forego his toys for d guitar... He is d one who actually told me abt the headstock difference in each guitar brand... Lol! Even that i made a mistake last year when i bought a fender strat, onle later to be told by a shop its fake... So much more than just a headstock huh... D bridge, tuning, etc etc... Lucky i got u guys n soft.com to learn.... Thanks

Forgive dis old dude for so many typo errors, iphone to small for my eyes n my finger too fat ... lol:)

your son is really blessed to have you as a father. encourage and inspire him! ;)
and yes, i support the change of bareknuckle pups! although i think the stock pups arent actually that bad..haha.

I finally complete the pair of GIBSON SPECIALS...
I have been playing the SG (clean sound/ acoustics) and I found myself to fall in love with this guitar... with you guys' advise I hunt for another LP for my son... initially I stumbled upon an Epi Les Paul R9... and at the last minutes (days) actually I found this gorgeous GIBSON Les Paul Junior SPECIAL to match the SG. I did a lot of thinking but decide to go for the Gibby, as both prices are quite close.

I was hoping they would be the same 'worn brown' but the LP is lacquered...

Bought from a Japanese Expat, has a receipt (in japanese) with model n s/no on it.

My son plays punk/rock, do you think this LP suit him better... and I found the bridge p/up rather funny is way softer than the neck. Would it better if he change the string from 09 to 10 ? and if i change to SD P90 would it sound better?

... and why all i found when i googled... is the LP with dot in-lay???? unlike mine... did i get the model wrong again :(
