Seldom see tweed-tone pedals on the market section. I kinda like it on the GT2 , but gets quite irritating overused. Tweedtone sounds like a metal spoon.
My liking for the tone started a year back , but reasons are quite unclear. Relating the tonal characteristics to a strat , i don't think Frusciante ( my guitar hero ) ever used one.

don't find them useful... might appeal to those who are clean-inclined.

its supposed to come from the amp, not any other pedals. But then, if it can sell many many to those who wanna the sound, but no way to get the amp to hear the real thing, then its a compromise

J.f has no usage for it cos he prolly has the real thing to get the sound from then a pedal that emulate the characteristic, i guess...

a cloth that can sell many, amazing..

i like the sound, but as shyamalan has said, it does get irritating when overused and i agree with it, so i sold mine too some time back. i'm a fan of tweed tones 8)

I don't believe in amp emulation pedals. So it's unlikely.

I also don't like GT2. With another guitarist or playing live, it seems to lose a lot of definition - sounds overly compressed.

markom'd.

FRUSC FRUSC!!!!

damn it people. STOP buying "vintage-characteristic"-emulating pedals!
like a particular guitarist's tone, YOU CANT RECREATE IT WITH A SINGLE PEDAL.

unless its an roland space echo, the new ones. heh.

for me i really like it a lot. i own amt distortion machine. play it thru a tube amp and it really sings.

how are u gonna get a mesa rectifier sound or tweed bluesy drive sound when playing thru a marshall amp at the jamming studio or a gig? tech21 or amt is the answer. all in one small pedal.

yes it isn't the real thing but i tink d emulation is close to perfection. imo, better than digital modellers. and emulation pedals are excellent for backup too.

not sure if this thing is common anymore

the tweed sounds a little thin for me, personally i use a RC to drive it
