winamp and wmp dun mix

nuttin much abt music here.
juzz wanna advise not to haf both WMP and Winamp in u'r com. i dunno abt u guys but i got a shock just now. it might just be my computer, but this is what happened. i downloaded a video just now, and its in .avi format. i cant seem to play it. so i thought it must be a corrupted video. then later on, i tried playing a music video, already in my com. CANNOT SIA!
it says "playing" but theres only black screen. then i panic. tried playing all .avi files, also black screen. kanciong already. so i re-installed WMP, then unsinstall some players, still the same. then at last, i decided to uninstall Winamp. THEN can play. wah, sway ah... now i need to re-install the other players. haizz.

any of u haf the same prob?
do u haf both WMP and Winamp in u'r com and they work just fine?
(if they do, then it MUST be my com. haizz...)

anep, i dun have any prob, i used both.

it could be bcos when u load winamp u check all their boxes for the type of files they will read. i.e if u use winamp to play mp3 only, then check their mp3 box only when u download them. i used the winamp to read flac or shn files only, so i uncheck everthing else. i use wmp & quicktime for videos and itunes for mp3 & wav files.

u try unchecking what u dun want winamp to read the next time u reload winamp. i used to have the same prob with my itunes.

winamp is really good ...~!

wmp sucks coz there's no free DSP effects ...~
the equalizer is not really of much help as well ...~

install winamp...
go to preferances -> file types -> den select audio only

Also go to http://www.geocities.com/i_adryan/
and d/l the enhancer ...
you'll hear the differance immediately ~!~!

there r some file types tht need winamp solely. winamp for me is the best for music, im using both. wmp for video n winamp for music somethin like tht. Like i said, there r some online file types tht need winamp to stream em.
