I'd say, even if metalcore is pretty much condemned, Trivium do have their own style. I mean come on, they do have their own fan base, which is strong, if you haven't noticed.

I can say, I don't restrict myself, and I used to like metalcore, not as much now, though. And as much as I have "moved on" from metalcore, I still do like Trivium.

Plus, even if you don't like them, and if they DO make it for Singfest, it wouldn't hurt to have fun, would it? I think they have good stage presence (from the videos on YouTube), and who knows if you go home a fan, because you had fun?

not to burst the bubble, but both Paramore's and Silverstein's tours end early July, and they're not part of the Summer Sonic bill. so they might not make it, because it is a bit weird if they come down for Singfest. plus, you'll never know their schedules.
