maiden went on a world tour and skipped Singapore.....i don't think they'll play in a festival like Singfest....no disrespect to Singfest but that's the way it is......Iron Maiden is too huge

I posted this at the Singfest forums, and I guess I'll post it up again.

I'm pretty disappointed in this year's Singfest pricing and lineup.

It's extremely unaffordable, and unworthy. Most of the goers would be students, and I don't think we are able to afford $200 for a certain band we like and other bands we might not like.

I understand the high cost of the event organization, but I also do understand that last year, the prices were lowered due to lack of sales. Is it going to happen again, it seems to be the case. Anyway, I actually paid the full sum of $152 PER ticket last year, and I bought two tickets. We were fans of no other bands other than Avenged Sevenfold. A month after we bought the tickets, the price per ticket was reduced to $75. Ridiculous. Much.

Last year, the turnout was largely Avenged Sevenfold fans, and I had hoped for more rock/metal this year. Turns out it's pretty crappy teensy pop. (I mean, come on, Alicia Keys? Simple Plan?)

Moreover, the FULL lineup promised to be revealed on the 30th, have not been announced even till today. When are we getting it?

well, since the festival is still about 2 months away.. why get so uptight? i'm sure the price will be reduced in time to come so just wait and see how.

i do not think that is the final list of bands coming.

because such matters are out of our hands, the best thing we can do is not buy the tickets first and see what change of plans they have.
