i was playing with the effects and asked him for an explanation that differs the two effects apart. you get what i mean.

Which two effects did you try out?
And furthermore, surely you would have heard the difference, unless you're deaf? I hardly see what the uncle reply is rude, because tone is subjective and what you perceive as a difference in tone is not the same as how others perceive it

just didnt understand why some guy quoted me 5k for the dave murray strat outside on display a long time ago.

I stand outside the shop and look at the display all the time but never get any issues from the employees.

I do this all the time too, heh. There's one in there that I'm eyeing, but it's available much cheaper somewhere else

TS, maybe you might want to be the better person and forge a more positive relationship with the above mentioned uncle by approaching him nicer?
