I actually don't like those scene kids because most of them(or at least as far as I'd seen and personally experienced) don't really know what's called appreciation of music.

They're kids. Music fads change with the times. Rock's out, Hip Hop's in.

If you're passionate and serious about the music you love or play then continue to do what you do and I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding like-minded people. I may not like every genre of rock but I respect the musicians and appreciate their effort.
