Cannot lah! RG550! Must be 550, not 770! 550 got pickguard! 1550, 2550 all can, got pickguard can already - o' skool!!!!!

Ibanez RG550 40th anniversary edition! The striking red / yellow finish and matching headstock is the ultimate 80s superstrat! Personally, I'm gassing for the red one.

Godspeed64: totally agree... But it's not like Whitey is buying a 2550 and leaving it in a glass class for show mah... It's still gonna be played (maybe sold later )...

Wow.. A collection piece with a heavy damage to your wallet.. Might as well buy the S5470! Haha..

Well, it'll probably get some playtime... But not as much. It's the piece to occasionally take out to whack once in a while.

And in the bigger scheme of things, it's really not that much damage...

Might I gas you for this instead?

Click me :D

Not really. I actually almost bought this when I was in Japan in dec. But it's this, or a EBMM Silo 20th... Guess which one won?

But this one comes in 3 colours. Orange, Black, and Red. The Orange one is the nicest... (Or was it orangeburst?)

Hahaha... guess its really opinion... for me the Ibanez would've won...

Then again, its nice to have varied guitar bodies for different sort of sounds. Unless you're dead sure you like a certain body... (for me, its strat like)

Though I don't see anything wrong with trying something new...

I find the RG body a fair bit thicker and 'clumsier' feeling than a regular strat, but perhaps its because the RG I took care off for a short period of time had a mahogany body and neck. Heavy!

But the playability is awesome, and the neck is really as fast as it claims to be.

When I finally own a BFR, I cn say something like that...

Walao eh you!
I only have ONE BFR...
How many BFRs can you get with all the balls in your collection oooo...
Sorry, my bad!! Yup, the one with the sharkfin inlay. Thanks for pointing out to me, Harris!

BUt must still get 550! Dot inlay - simple and nice!!!

No apologies bro... Apparently, you're right :)

Heh... But it's true mah...

Waitaminnit.. the 20ths are the origins of the BFRS anyways... Ok ok... then yes, I can say it.:p

The key reason why I didn't buy this was the sound. It was like screwing a dead fish. No matter what I did, I could not get a good response from the guitar. And it's not just one piece either! It's every one I tried in the store. I dunno why. The RG550 my friend bought at the same store responded much nicer.

And the EBMM? Well, that one just screamed... And it's got the LOWEST pickup output of all...

I just ordered a S5470 SOL. i've been gassing for it for a super long time. Will update you on how it plays when it arrives! Cant wait for it...finally a 24 fret s series! woohoo!

Mr Whitestrat will die for white guitars with pickguards. I must be right here. Haha. Go do it! White RG550 with a black PG - ITS THE SEX. (sound LAME though..)

Lionel, how come you never considered J Customs? I mean if you compare sl price top up a bit more can get one already? or you die die must have a basswood guitar?
