which basic chords you guys learnt first??

when practising basic chords, not all the strings need to be stroke...how about when practising strumming,do we stroke all strings regardless of which chord or die die need to follow the stated strings for each chord??

There's no fix kinda thing in this but i find if you are playing just the guitar alone, meaning guitar as a single instrument in a song, do strum it fully with the open strings. It gives a more complete kinda sound. However, like a simple D or A, some people still prefer to play the bottom few strings for it for a higher ring.

In short, less bass if you don't play the top?

Just my opinion and thinking. :)

another question....when playing A major, the 3 fingers have to squeeze between the 1st and the 2nd fret rite,so the 1st finger will be the highest....but while in the A major positon, when i strike the 4th string where the 1st finger should be,the sound is different from an individual finger pressing on the same fret,is this normal?? hope you guys understand what i am trying to say...

of course it is normal. if u r using 1 finger to press, it is just a note.

no,thats not what i mean....
ok...i try to rephrase it....assuming the spacing inbetween the 1st and 2nd fret can accomodate 3 fingers vertically, the sounds produced when finger is placed at the top portion is different from the sound when finger is at the middle portion.....is this normal??
