but my list of want to try guitars is alot.... so i guess u guys can help me shorthend my list. hiaz... i really want supurb quality cum all guitar tones in one with my low budget. in person, in real life, i am a perfactionsit, i am slight parniod too. last time thinking of seeking profesional medical help .

Why don't you try out a few guitars first. Remember a few things can't be changed. (they can but you'll usually lose the point of getting the guitar. There are exceptions but I won't go there.)

1) Neck profile.
2) Number of frets.
3) Type of body wood.
4) Type of bridge.

These things really a matter of preference. You only know after you've tried. What works for one doesn't for another.

For example, I have tried the Ibanez S series guitars before. Awesome low action, super smooth trem, extremely thin neck, flat and good for shredding.

It just didn't work for me. I played Fender strats for the longest time, and I realised my playing style didn't work with the Ibanez S series.

Seriously, quality is in the eyes of the beholder. There really isn't any best guitar for everyone - you have to find your own best guitar.

At the very least, you have got to try out a few guitars, say what you like/dislike. That would help more softies give you more constructive advice.

well...firstly you should like the feel of the guitars yourself..we're here jsut to give u some ideas and models that are good..secondly..its not the guitar but the player..so..go try out the guitars that people have recommended u..and get the model that suits your playing style

while it is strongly urged to try the instrument before you part with $$$, arming yourself with prior info is as crucial IMO.

cube: i am aware of your desire to acquire a floating bridge equipped guitar, but you listed some fixed bridge models as well- do give ALL of them good consideration.

on LTD models, i'd recommend the series-50 units despite them being at the lower rungs of the LTD hierarchy- they play well & sound good, worth every cent you'd be forking out for.

it's true that there are some guitars that are good value for money. but also, as a general rule, you get what you pay for. don't expect a fantastic guitar unless you're willing to cough up a decent amount of money for it. this should be fairly obvious.

Amps should be an important factor too...even if you've a really expensive Fender Strat but you have those cheapo amps, the sound's not gonna come out tops, eh?

i believe he was asking about which axe to buy. not amp.

hmmm... LTD-50 viper... saw it on davis. fret board quite coarse and dry leh. fret work abit like begginer pack guitar quality. for the same price, guitars like rg 321 has better workmanship . will try out more guitars though. haven tried out any yamaha guitars . so is it true to conclude that guitars in this mid price range, ibanez has provides the one of the best workmanship?

one more query guys. the flamed maple finish in SA260 and Rg320 is it real maple top or some cheapo verneer? the swee lee website specs cliams it is equipped with duncan/ibz pu's for the SA.

i mean the offical ibanez website specs states that sa260 are equipped with thier factory stock AH-1 pu's . but swee lee sites states that the sa 260 are equppied with duncan/ibz.....

u know what... i was at swee lee ajunied the other day with my friend... theres this washburn x-50 pro there...
damn solid guitar... set neck... good parts and very well made.... only thing it needs a good setup...
guess what... its only 700 plus... i think that will be a much better buy than those u listed...

check around... its one of the higher end washburns out there...

700 bucks only !!??? according to washburns site, x-50pro with duncans is listed with a US$900+ tag, x-50pro EF loaded with EMGs cost slightly over a 1K USD . where u saw the wash burns at ? swee lee brash basah or sims? Dont rememeber seeing any at brash bash

Washburn always put a high retail price tag.

Anyway Washburn isn't too popular here, so I wouldn't be surprised if Swee lee listed it low.

ahh... the ones u saw are the 2006 model... the one at sims drive arnt duncan or emg equiped... its still pretty good sounding... with coil split function...

thor: i agree that washburns are not very popular here... to me.. its one underrated guitar as the quality that comes with it is really good....

The thing is the Washburn parts are basically too difficult to get if you want to replace them. That is -darn- annoying.
