just wondering about people's experience with different brands and why they stick to that brand.

eg, which one lasted the longest for you? how frequent is your usage of the guitar/pedal that you use the battery in?

Viinic 9V (non-alkaline). $0.90 at Mustaffa Centre. would buy 20 each time... 8)

subversion:

price is great for sure. how does battery life compare to other more popular brands? what difference does non-alkaline make?

any particular reason?

I have tried many many ...that is the best ....please dont ask why ...just try !!

We are talkin only for dirt pedals ya ....its the sag baby ...the sag !!!

yes cow- that's the primary reason why i prefer batteries; being noiseless (or very negligible amt for that matter).

if you are doing alkaline, you would be sustaining the device on sustained, reduced, power. this i dislike as it affects tone. the VINNIC brand is cheap no doubt but it gives Everready a run for the money, i consider Everready to be the industry's standard.

your job doesn't have any relation to vinnic, does it? :D

thanks for your substantiated info.

i will definitely be heading for some pieces of vinnic myself, and it makes more sense to keep a stock of vinnic when they are at 90 cents per piece.

however, i will be using them solely for my active guitars; but i included pedals in my question just so somebody else may also get something out of this thread. :)

mustafa is a huge place, so can i shamelessly ask for an approximate location of the vinnic batteries within mustafa?

wow the vinic battery is super cheap!! i bought i think an energizer battery 9 volt last time for 3-5$ in a provision shop...
i guess i will stock on that vinic battery too

nah- i came across the Vinic brand by chance @ Mustaffa Centre... this battery is in my active guitars too 8)

if you happen to be @ Mustaffa, the Vinic batteries are available in 2 places:

1. Serangoon Plaza branch- look out for the batteries near the cashiers on the ground floor

2. Main branch (Syed Alwi Rd- that green building)- batteries also at cashier counters, ground floor

finally made my way there today.

unfortunately, i couldn't find the batteries. there were energiser, everready, sanyo, sony, varta, powerone, etc, but no vinnic.

gone for good? 8O

If use batteries, need to disconnect all the patch cables after use everytime right? Or else the it would suck up all the battery power?
