where to get this pedals...

in singapore as i dont like shipping it in to singapore... im went to like swee lee, davis guitar, luthermusic guitar connection and all of them dont bring in these brand maybe MXR..

there are tc electronics in guitar connections.. tc electronics have local supplier too.. check check check... well yeah.. wads wrong with ordering from overseas?

Just curious, what made you want these pedals? have you tried them in person? besides i believe musiciansfriend does not do shipping to Singapore. Your best bet will be to look for a closer dealer that would actually ship overseas and order from them.

power-wise just get a one spot.. if 1 is not enough.. then get 2.. and and if 2 not enough.. you get the drift.

shipping it in to singapore takes pretty long.. and i dont really trust the overseas dealers.. its okay.. but thanks guys.. if i cant get this pedals what pedals would remand me?

for a preamp, flanger, EQ, distortion and auto wah...

im building my pedal board.. i just got a lot of money (my birthday)..

i play indie rock (interpol, bloc party, action! action!)

thanks

misse would be a good starting point if and only IF you know exactly what kind of a sound you're going for..

otherwise i suggest starting out with multi-efx, such as a pod/gt8 if you are the very very rich kind, then start moving towards analog as you straighten out your sound tastes. it will cost you though.

others may have other and definitely better solutions.

Ain't TS9 or 808 or sd1 good? Maybe you could consider these brands. Have them modded & im sure you could find your tones in it.I tried buying a 535Q from music123. waited 3 mths & they didnt have stock. gotta order from Dunlop. Wa Lao! If i have loads of money, I will buy rackmount effects, amp head & 4X12. I then no need to play on my 1X12 combo. Buy what you can afford & what you need ONLY!! thats my advice. GAS!!!!!!!!

Man, you short change yourself IMO. If you think its good, you like it, people recommend it, GET IT.

You never really know till you try it man, really.

www.tonefactor.com is one trustworthy place.

Of course, theres the issue of getitng lost in transit but come on. You want it? Get it.

i was in ur situation some time back, and i would recommend not spending the money all in one go ie. buying ur pedals all at one time. i did tt and only ended up selling more stuff.....cos i didnt take the time to figure out what i really wanted.

get one pedal at a time, most important thing is to know what u want.

really :)

my sincere piece of advice.

yeah i agree with ShredCow..i u want it..then get it. Even without trying Hughes & Kettner, i know it'll be worth the buy. Things like this u should get online. IMO, i dont tink its worth to buy a flanger, autowah online. Just get those pedals here..maybe BOSS ones..
to each his own

you'll never know till you try! :smt109

you know wad, im curious as to whats to hype around the "get a boss pedal and mod it to find your tone". haha

can someone enlighten me?

Ok........ EG:Lets say you gaet a sd1, played for a few weeks, doesnt suit you, somebody intro u TS9, vintage pedal, You get it. then after few weeks, where got power? then someone intro you ZW44 OD Pedal, u get it.............. it goes on & on. When you get it mod, you'll get the tone you want. so $$$ saved. thats my theroy. Botique pedals are great also. but $$$$, So i settled with boss & mod it.

Well, in some cases, Boss pedals, modded, unmodded, just don't deliver!

So then you gotta go somewhere else... into that dark dark world of... boutique pedals.

Funny thing though, I see some mods that are so... over the top, that I wonder, that pedal is no longer true to its original form, its become a boutique pedal.

There's a limit to how much you can mod its tone. Like a modded ds1 will still sound like a ds1 no matter what you do, although it would have more usable tones. If the modded pedal sounds totally different, I agree with Shred Cow, then it makes no sense to start with that pedal. Probably costs a bit to mod it to that extent as well.

I think modding is great if you kinda like the pedal already but still can't find that sweet spot on it. I've done some on my ds1 and I can tell you I love it more!

To the message thread starter, can ask MISSE for some of them?

so are boss pedals less versatile and are more safe as the range of what it can do has been limited?

Most boutique pedals are clones of popular pedals with added enhancement... e.g ...recently i fixed a minor glitch on a thai boutique clone of the Rat ...appropriately named Ratto !
The builder used a NOS op-amp to get that vintage rat feel and its very close ...nice !! Price was amaizingly cheaper than the real deaL !!

There is another kinda boutique where the idea or cicuit is completely new ..e.g hot cake , tim , blackstone ...just to name a few.

And these are designed for specific worx and may at times be an aquired taste ... e.g the Mangojuice. Locally i didn't get much attention but it was hit elsewhere. But ..hey if i would have continued building them it would have caught on here ... :D

So please use your ears ...and sample a good amount of pedals to find your mojo !!

Enjoy noise !!
