Where to get floor toms to bass drum convertion things?

Hi,

I'm new here..Where can i get floor toms to bass drum convertion things??Currently,I do not have a drum set yet but i'm planning to get some stuff from the buy/sell..

And btw, do you think converting a floor toms to bass drum is cheaper than second hand bass drum??need some advice here..

You can get the Pearl jungle conversion kit from Swee Lee Bras Besar for $45 something. Saw two in there when I dropped by last week. I'm using one, it serves its purpose but I would prefer a Danmar.

Yes, I think it is cheaper and it does save you more space, that is if you are comfortable the sounds you're getting from the floor tom. I'm guessing a 16"? Micro kits are nice, I do use my 15" tom as a kick now and then. Like I said, if you dig it.

Or you could get Drumsolo86's 18" kick, those are decent.

I think about the space is also important cause my room is not that big...btw,does the Pearl jungle conversion kit can be use at any brand floor toms??and I see a vid that shows that there is a need to drill holes to fix the converter..is it true??

You can get my 18" kick if you're keen, it's cheaper than buying a floor tom and the converting kit to a bass drum.

Guys - not so easy. First of all, the Jungle Jig JG-16 is only part of the solution. You need the Hoop Mount Bracket and the Tom Mount (BT-3) to complete it.

While the Tom Mount is easy, the Hoop Mount is the tricky part. Unless you are using the Pearl SuperHoop, which is thicker (2.3mm), you will find it almost impossible to get the Hoop Mount Bracket today. If you are using Pearl Forum, Export, most Tama, Premier brands, the hoops are not so thick and require the IS1216N Series Hoop Mount Bracket, which Swee Lee doesnt sell and dont bring in anymore since it has been discontinued.

You are in luck if you are using the SuperHoop (Masters, Session series) and the IS1216SL is found in Swee Lee and sold online, etc. However, if you already have the Masters or the Sessions, you probably can afford the space anyways and wouldnt be looking to convert ...

I have done enough mods to know. Trust me

That's the problem most local drummers face.

Yes it can be used with any brand of drums. Another plus is that it can be removed and attached easily and very quickly.
