where to buy a cheap prs?

bf0502tr you sure abot that? major tuning stability? scary,. knowing its a prs,.
no wonder i saw a PRS SE camo burst at CASH CONVERTERS, and most of this models
are being sold 2nd-hand online ive seen quite enough to believe SE models kinda
have some downside in there manufacturing,. and,..
"i'd rather get the copies or the real deal...se doesnt make the cut for me." .. true,..
and i prefer the carved top PRS, they're so sexy,.. i saw a fellow softie having 2 PRS copies from
NNG guitars and my oh my they are so close to look like the real deal and he also mentioned
that it wasnt inferior to the REAL PRS,. so that mean it is really quality controlled to be able to be
compared to the real deal,.. g77 has also this POT prs seems fine too around sgd900,.

yes very sure...i gave up keeping my bass strings in tune on my prs cos they would never hold tune no matter how many times i tuned. and thats after a song, at best after an hour u can go from e std tuning to almost drop d. considering its an artiste model, i was really disappointed. sold it off after only a few months. my advice: if u really want a prs sound, save up more, eat less, drink less, club less then get a non-se prs.

The Marliques at Standard Value and SV Guitars have a really thick sound. Not exactly the PRS sound, but if you want Santana's soloing tone, the Marliques can do it. And they look beautiful too. They cost $999, just a dollar short of 1K. Cheaper than some PRS SEs.

copies of gallardo and lamborgini ei?,. theres a lot of em,.. they even have the wood version of the car,. there is also this man i saw in the net he tried making his own body using some sort of styrofoam for the body, i kinda forgot but
what i remember is hey sprayed it alover the car frame and started sculpting/carving the body down until he got hes
sportscar, pretty neat work.. too bad the car was hit by a ducati while hes driving,. he died after that..

sure you have a scary story of your prs, i hate regrets, hate it even i see someone having regrets.. you didnt tried
changing the hardware bf0502tr? you test played it before buying it right so you should have known theres a fault..

marliques are great but i havent tried one yet, hehe.. but they really are quality guitars the hardwares they use
are awesome too wilkinson teslaIII.. maybe the thick sound is from their pups, teslaIII's are of modern sound maybe
fitting a Vintage reflection series of tesla will do the trick,. i have 2 of them single and hum, a punching vintage pups really, if i were to put them on a $1000 and below guitar..

nope didnt test it out before i bought it. bought it from a fucked up seller on soft last time. even so i dun think its possible to test for tuning stability when testing, i rarely test guitars for long, showing off my mistakes is the last thing i wanna do lol. but lesson learnt lol. anyway prs se do have problems with tuning stability in the past due to their nuts not being the right height or something like that. too long ago to rmb. not sure about their more recent batches though, tried testing one at davis last time but the staff asked for the guitar back to try to show off his skills before i could test much -_-

Any guitar, if set to non floating, will still need a proper nut job and a good set of saddles. If that is done right, no matter how cheap the guitar, it will stay in tune. Also if the tuners are non locking, then the strings must have enough wrap around the posts. That's it.

amen to that, the only way is to bring someone to play crap before you... and i dont like people showing off in front of me when they are trying to sell their guitar it makes me wanna say "why dont you buy it yourself",. but i wont bother as long as they play crap like i do.. ;D

This is truth.

Low quality tuning pegs don't decrease tuning stability?

What do tuning pegs do? mainly wind the string round it's post and hold it there. usually, the only thing you need to worry about is the slip back of the post, but that's usually gear-driven and should stay in place relatively well. I've played squiers with cheap tuning pegs that are still fine.

No, what usually matters is the amount of wrap, and the way the nut is slotted. The nut is usually the biggest culprit.

People usually upgrade tuning pegs to have locking functions, or better winding ratios. Poor quality tuning pegs usually give problems on winding. Not tuning retention.

Thanks for the explanation, Whitestrat. Perhaps that's why my stock Ibanez tuners hold tuning very well even after a few years of usage. Properly wrapped posts and a killer setup by Mike at Standard Value. :p

Come to think of it, I've tried an Epiphone LP standard (MIC) with the nut jutting out because the fretboard binding was not cut properly. The guitar came out of tune really fast.
