Where do you put your LOOPER pedal in your signal chain?

Hi all,

I recently acquired a boss rc2 loop station and i am wondering where do you guys put your looper pedal in the signal chain. here's my current setup. Care to give me some insight on where would be the optimal place for the looper.

Here's my current setup.

Guitar -> Pitchblack tuner -> Vox Wah -> Boss CS3 -> H2O Jackyll & Hyde -> Metal end king -> Boss CH1 Chorus -> Line 6 Verbzilla -> Line 6 Echopark -> BOSS RC2 LOOP STATION -> AMP

Cheers!

Yup, I do the exact same thing. Putting the RC-2 last in the chain would enable it to record all the effects preceding it.

I usually put mine after everything else, but before the reverb. The reverb for me is always the last pedal.

the position of the looper is more or less fixed at the end of the chain unless theres a need to add post looping effect ala whtestrat.

the idea is rather simple, whatever that we wanna loop/record into the looper, it will definitely always be before it. No other way about it.

in the way which white strat is using, its just adding the reverb to whatever he is playing and on the looped part(when being play back), thus having the reverb after the looper

another way, which i have tried using before(for my own playing needs and not necessary useful for another geetarer), is to have 2 loopers within 2 parallel loop blender.
At anytime, i can loop, cross fade whatever thats being looped with the 2 loopers and playing on top of the loops fading in and out.

pathein bro... your idea is good man. can do sumthing like loop a verse with one looper and loop chorus with the other and blend them in and out without starting and stopping any loop. shiok.. but timing must be there i guess.

for me, i put my looper before a stereo delay (DD-7) so can have pannings effects. its just for me to self-high at home with my stereo set-up. sounds very very ambient to the max.

but of course, whatever you loop will be subjected to the same stereo delay. thus, it can get a bit messy if too many layers. i tend to use the analog delay mode instead, to get a more subtle sound to start with, which then transforms into this massive panning sound as more and more layers are added.

shiok.....

the 2 loopers and 2 blender thingy easier to work out when the looped parts doesnt have any time frame, fixed rhythm/melody. Easier to fade in/out without sounding too out of place. Heh, If not, be wall of mess instead of sound

I would find it strange to have a dry rhythm sound, with a wet lead tone...:mrgreen:

Another thing... Also because my looper is also my delay pedal.
