Hi, I've just started learning to play with the drumsets and would like to own 1 of my own, but i checked online andits all S$1K++!!!!!!
So i was hoping maybe anyone here can suggest to me where in this little red dot sells and drumsets which is really cheap??

You know,

Your really cheap =/= my really cheap.

Whats your budget?
And if you really want to find one, the drums buy/sell forums is still the best.

Drumsets aren't cheap, it's an expensive hobby. After shopping around a while, your concept of "really cheap" might change quite a bit.

Guaranteed cheap one: get a few pillows and put on table, stack a few textbooks underneath to add height to taste.

"Drumsets aren't cheap, it's an expensive hobby"
..... *looks at drum kit right behind*
......
True to that! Hahaha.

Anyway, any views or personal experiences on roland ekits ? Especially the Roland HD-1 lite ?
And i dont like yamaha dtxplorer, cause i have bad experiences with it. Are the "slightly" more exp yamaha good ? Not those $5k type i mean LOL
Planning to get one due to lack of space and i cant stand to have an acoustic at home, my parents will kill me. Haha.

IMO, U pay for what u get. U have 1k, dun expect ur kit to feel or sound like a 10k TD20. Personally I have tried a TD20 before, the sound is great but as the pads are mesh, they do not really feel real to me. This is personal opinion. Not too sure about the other models.

Yamaha DTX explorer is the lowest end, how do u want it to sound and feel like?

DTX900k sounds good IMO.

thanks for the plug, faithsilence :)

kidoboy1: i guess you have to realize that when it comes to e kit, it's really a different kind of pricing all together. because it includes, cymbal pads, modules and what not that's why it has a certain kind of pricing.

ultimately, if you decide to buy an electronic drum kit. please do try all different brands of electronic drum kit that is available in the market before coming to a conclusion. points to take note will be whether you are comfortable with the kit when you're playing on it, the heads, the sounds, the size of it and the list goes on. so yeah, that's my 2 cents worth of advice and hope you will find something you like soon :)

This might be one of the cheaper e-kits around if you really must get an e-kit... Pads feel quite 'toy-like'.
