When custom guitar building goes bad

I can't stomach those ausy monkeys spent 800 to prove a guy wrong and to go on with insults ....that money could have been put to better use ...like feeding a starving nation which exist ...due to human greed !!

Only fools deal with fools !!

WTF? I'm going to do a case study of this as what NOT TO DO when building a custom guitar once I get my mill and start building guitars.

Aha ...a kid ...who can't settle for the usual but lusts what the forum gurus and legends who themselves can't settle for off the shelf but constantly looking for the elusive... BUT...must be "cheap" ...so they can brag about their bestest deal acquired via higher state of consciousness .....

no guts no glory my fren ...so pay the price!!

Btw what’s a kid doin at sevenstring.org ....can settle for six??

Tools itself will set you back 400-500 bucks, and this is being conservative.

Are you trying to be funny :)? A milling machine already 3k. Now you need another 300-500 for a table saw, throw in another 100 for all the little miscellaneous tools like hex keys and screwdrivers.

I don't think the inlays look good. Look closely - can you see the amount of filler used? That black outline around all the inlays. Then again, I suppose, for a 1k guitar, yeah, okay, fine...

This is what I call an inlay...

Sevenstring.org is also home to pointy guitars mah... standard guitars but with plenty of pointy-ness. Its so metal there... really!

The kid ordered a Flying V too - but oh my goodness, the string-thru-body holes were drilled wrongly, the V cutaway at the back was too deep so there was barely enough space for the TOM bridge, the TOM bridge was installed BACKWARDS, the pickup routes can probably hold a 7 string pickup (for a 6 string guitar), the finish looks great 3 meters away, looks like crap close up, and so on so forth.

Being conservative means what you can do with a mill, you do with planes and rasps then files.

Thats what "handcrafted" luthiers used to say. "I use files, rasps, planes and chisels." lol.
