Whats the song you hate the most on the radio?

It's gotta be a tie between Jonas Brother's SOS and Ting Tings Shut up and Let Me Go. My face scrunches up into a ball when I hear these songs but for some reason I start humming along about a minute in. I've got it on iTunes as well.

Me thinks there be some brainwashing mojo in them tunes.

This thread rocksss, coz

1) It stroke egos of those who dont listen radio, but wanna chip in on their mighty music

2) It reflect the irony of some of us, who dont like songs on radio, but still can listen to radio

3) Radio havent done anything to us, but we can hate, as if radio kill our family clan

4) We can make ourself stand out by accepting the differences in music

5) When it sinks to the bottom and no one remember, radio will still be around while we all grow out of the thought that we are special and unique

everybody's a closet pop music fan, some just decide to come out of their closet..

music is music. i see the art in all kinds of music even though i don't listen to them. i'm a jazz, funk guy when it comes to drums. but i like listening to alternative and acoustic songs. i do enjoy hip-hop and rock. i don't listen to metal and hard rock but i don't particularly dislike them. sometimes i rock out to velvet revolver, etc. i also listen to click five (not as a fan) and jason mraz. i think jason mraz and john mayer are awesome pop artists.

Ownage post! +1.

Well I do listen to the radio,It has the latest news and traffic and football updates.Upon doing so I will sure have to listen to some mainstream songs once in a while.Dont see anything wrong with that.

1) I think hate is an extreme word.

2) I don't really listen to the radio (except when I am cooking) because I like to have more control (I'm a control freak) and I can't stand the rubbish some DJs dish out.

3) I instinctively cringe whenever I hear a Coldplay or a Chicago song. It's almost as bad as seeing a Jack Neo production (no, I don't watch them at the cinemas but sometimes there are DVDs lying about in the house, and I watch it to remind myself of how bad things can be). Absolutely nothing personal against Jack Neo, I am sure he is a nice guy, but to me, his films really CMI.

I think it's ignorant of you to ignore the possibility that songs can be disliked to the point of hate. In fact, I think it is borderline insane to therefore assume that all songs based on their musical value are either praised incessantly, mildly enjoyed or simply disliked while there are no songs who evoke emotions of hate in people.

While I personally have only a few songs that I hate mainly due to personal reasons, those I have listed are admittedly only a great annoyance to me. Which is one reason why I still have it on iTunes.

It is ignorant to also ignore the possibility that despite the fact that while a song may be wonderous, great, grand and what other words you may wish to describe your idea of the world's greatest song, that same song might evoke the negative memories of a person who as an example, may have lost someone he/she loved dearly while that song was playing. Or perhaps the lyrics can be associated with such an event in the person's life.

I agree with your point 4 though that just because we don't like a song, it doesn't mean that song IS bad or that the whole world has to hate it too.

heh, ignorance perhaps...

if you have been around on the forum, you might have known that i aint exactly too serious a person with those 1)...2)...3) points..kinda responses most of the time

Still, i always enjoy seeing the serious reaction of people when what i started out writing, was meant to be joke..

haha, steady steady. Thanks for the response though. Seriously.

..4 pages in 24 hrs?
anyway im not flaming any artist...i just dont really like that particular song, and its just my opinion..
and whats wrong with radio? sometimes i listen cuz i get sian of the songs in my phone.

whats wrong with radio?

imho, nothing is wrong. And i guess in the context of your asking, you might have felt the same way as me, as in, theres nothng wrong with radio.

If we can agree on that, we can move on to the next portion, having in mind, theres nothing wrong with radio.

Ok, here we go. Radio broadcast, we have in hand, the choice to select the various radio frequencies which we might be interested in checking out. That, we have the choice.

So with that in mind, we can move further.

so lets say we have selected a certain frequency where we enjoy the broadcast. We listen, we groove, we enjoy. Then to our dismay, out came a song that prolly sounds too ______(fill in the blank with your word of skullcrushingdeathdefyingbrewtallityblackness) for us. What can we do?

Following so far, i hope. Catch a breath, lets move on!

Yeah, so what can we do? Perhaps, we can tune to other frequencies, enjoy the scenery, stop listening to what we dont lke to hear etc. In short, what i want to say is that, we, can have a choice.

And thus, if we have a choice, to prevent getting ourself in having a negative reaction(in this case, hate) towards the song, but yet, we didnt and still "hate" the song, played on radio, where we, are the one who tune in the frequency, with our own hand...

so, what, or who, perhaps is wrong? The radio? A non living thing which is control via us, the thinking human, or simply, we, the human, who have choice to make, is wrong.

So whats wrong here?

............

disclaimer: the above prolly doesnt contain much truth, but if you choose to believe and wanna rebuke, you can try. Bearing in mind, i prolly wasnt too serious when writing the above. But if anyone wanna be serious and write a long long one back, feel free to. Imho, its better than any threads in gear forum that only see pictures and words, but never hearing how it is like.

guys.. 0.O panthein are u writing essay lol?
and why are peeps so uptight about this? its just a frikkin question..im not dissing/flaming anybody..i agree that if i don't like the song i can just change the station or something....but whats wrong with a simple question sia..

hehe, allow me to make assumptions.

we are uptight coz

1) we are really serious in real life

2) we cant understand why a small thing of songs played on radio(which is beyond our control) able to invoke a feeling of hate.

3) we dont see it as a simple question, we see it as question without much depth(things beyond our control) but yet wanna be affected by it

4) we are, really, uptight

5) we are tighter than the gap with no slit

again, dont have to be too serious. This is online forum, not WTO agreement

SmFizz, first of all, stop using profanity in the forum. I have removed them from your posts.

Secondly, the world could do with a little more love than hatred. How to do that? It all starts with oneself. We have the power to spread love to others.

So, instead of concentrating on what we hate, concentrate on what we love. The world will be a better place then.
