whats the best guitar i can get with 800 bucks??

ya, the Hamers are not too bad at all! my only dislike for them is the finishing and playability. but the sound is good.

if i am not wrong, there are some PRS below $1000?

playability...heck yeah, that reminds me. I played a Yamaha RG something 2 Saturdays ago, and I was amazed at the guitar's quality and playability, and of cos the sound. What compounded the awe was that the axe was going for under $500! Man, if I can get that kinda standard from a Yamaha electric, I reckon my next axe would be a Yamaha, more or less.

So, erm, check out Yamaha stuff too?

Hmm

Why not take a look in the guitar shop instead? We can all recommend but ultimately he gotta go down to a guit shop to play & feel it b4 he decides to buy rite?

Good to see your choices... Don't forget to check out the sports shops at Peninsula Shopping Centre for basketball shoes and a skipping rope!

I would love to watch you perform... The sport of jumping and headbanging by Khai...

I got a name for the sport: Muay Khai!

i might just snap ur guitar neck.
then it could be tinyfret..

anyway, i'll most prolly buy TOKHAI LP
and doing my trademark, MUAYKHAI. lol. checkmate.

and to those guitarists out there, do buy TOKHAI guitars. thank you

i bought the JEM JR for its looks. didnt know anything though, but it was going at $520.

now i learnt my lesson, must seek advise! but i still like my JEM JR so i'm upgrading parts, pups, bridge etc...

Hmm

fixed bridge is fixed. floyd rose bridge is floating & allow you to do double locking as well as dive bombs.

fixed bridge is pretty much um fixed bridge, stays there and doesnt move.
pros:
-easy to restring/tune
-you can change tunings on the fly.
cons:
-of course, no divebombing like vai or whammy effects.

Floyd rose is a knife edge floating bridge. Exists in many different form, Original or licensed(inferior). Some ibanez tremolos are known to be of good quality though, even though its a licensed version.

pros:
-whammy of course, and divebombs and those tricks.
cons:
-a hassle when it comes to changing strings, especially when you're a beginner, get someone to teach you
-you cant change tunings on the fly, like you can with a fixed bridge, so when jamming, stick to one tuning.
-when not set up properly, may cause tuning problems.

:D

i think there's something special about floyds about something like their harmonics turn out better or smth.

but i prefer a fixed to a floyd. not so leichei haha

sada

mamemo,

thanks for the enlightenment..
but i think i'll stick to the fixed bridge.

cause 1stly, i'm lazy to tune.lol(if its a hassle)
2ndly, if i wanna divebombs and stuffs,
i'm afraid i might not jump around and moving alot on stage. i love headbangin too.
