whats exactly is a booster?

actually har, why is most getting a booster to boost the amp but not the opposite.

Lets say we have a tube amp and we are playing at home. Lets turn the volume up to maximum. But before that, have the booster in between the guitar and the amp. The booster, if possible, will have a volume knob set at minimum, kinda like master volume for the amp while the amp volume is running at max. How ah?

>> booster helps you to run you amp at low gain and enjoy the brilliance !!

The volume knob is there to control keeping it low as the gain is cranked from Class A (clean) to AB(dirt) for that sparkle ..... we need control at high gain don't we ???

hehe, that give me another thought. Using 2 boosters, one as master volume and the other acting as presence control of some sort

i kinda considered doing that to get my distortion... but, lack of cash...

oh yes, the protone mach 2 adds more bass ,interestingly enough...
