What should I do to support?

Attend his gigs. Give him your morale support and space when he has jamming with the band. Those are what a music playing guy would ever need from his gf.

ok, great stuff! these are the primary things i'm doing currently. i'm just wondering if there are other stuff i need to know..

1. his ego might be hurt, and he might attempt to pay you back
2. i don't wanna say this la, but it'll be difficult on both of you IF you break up. (sorry to be the bearer of bad news/predictions)
3. ya different guitars have different feels, if he gets it himself he can try it out before he decides to buy.
4. he's alr damn lucky to have such a supportive gf, you don't want him to feel inferior cuz of this.

ok i won't buy the guitar for him. thanks for telling me this. maybe i shd buy a guitar strap for him.

wow.. kudos to you, ecko must feel really happy and lucky to be your boyfriend.. maybe trying jumping on stage, hug him, kiss him then crowdsurf?
or help him keep the cables after his set..haha.. help him start moshpits?

don't be way too nice either, he might take you for granted.

boys will be boys.

if you're going to do so much for him, be sure that it's mutual!

No one ever spells my name right... lol

Basically it's love him, love his guitar, love his band, love his music.
But still, take visa's advice, don't do it too much coz after the appreciative stage, he might start to think that you'll let him do whatever and start to neglect. It's a human thing.. Hope that doesn't come true la!

A strap would be good, maybe a custom strap? lol Put your name on it hahaha.

haha, my girlfriend? she made me sell my previous guitar.. just because she was afraid i would mix around with other girls at gigs.

yes, i sold my guitar and stompboxes...
call me stupid. but i love her.

but hey on he bright side, she let me play again, after a year or so.. and she bought me a new guitar.. haha..

lesson learnt here..
yeah, it really helps if you dont get jealous.

1) Create better space and time for him so he can find inspirations/ideas

i dont think that this is necessary. just be normal. the ideas will still flow

luckily my girlfriend is pretty supportive of my guitar playing. she'll came to watch my last two gigs!
most of my sunday afternoon's are dedicated to my band and shes cool with it. i'd usually try to meet her after jamming though

she even offered to buy me a pedal before once but i declined (its a guy thing luh, but if she bought one for me, it wouldnt leave my pedalboard)

she"ll complain about me spending more on my gear than on her when im broke though hehehehehe

My ideal partner is someone who loves me for who i am and doesnt try to change me (stop me from playing music for example)

hmm, i have to agree with levan.
it really helps if your really honest.

theres too many 'friends' out there who hold back the bad critics just because the dont want to hurt their friends feelings.

but i thought friends dont lie

Is it true that guys get jealous easily when their girlfriends watch other band mates more than him? And when we comment on their band mates?

haha, depends on whether the guy trusts u enough,
maybe if ur looking at his band mates, just dont give the puppy dog eyes or as though ur being swept off ur feet by their charm or whatever,,
and try not to say how much cuter the band member is than ur boyfriend without the intention of it being a joke..

anyway, he cant really control what u look at and say la..

haha, anyway, i doubt there are any problems arising cause of u looking at his band mates right?

print t-shirt and sell them!

haha aww lucky dude he is.
wish i had someone like lacrymosa.

haha who doesn't?

hi ikilledkenny. actually i was just wondering. i didn't remember doing like that though.. if i did, he wouldn't say anything so i assumed he was okay.. i know my intention was to support him. that's why i want to be there in the first place.. but yeah, it's all about trust that matters..
