what picks do you use?

thats another sucky part about jazz3's they keep on getting lost. but something abt that pick tells me that if i can get used to it, it'll reap alot of rewards

I use anything that is very thin and I look for a color that shows up easily if the thing is droppped - like gright green or red, not black

me using 3mm stubby and 2mm big stubby..

cant do without them..esp the 3mm stubby..small pick for small fingers on small hands..

i use the white/black ESP 0.8 mm ones ! the one with the grippy-rubber like material

everything else slips off my finger :(

JAZZ 3'S ftw!!! best picks. been using it for alost 6 months constantly
and the pointy end is almost totally rounded.

I use a TE thumbpick. Wraps round the finger and can double up as a normal pick for alternate picking and strumming. Might take a while to get use to though.

I use 3mm stubbies, a trait i picked up from my former guitar instructor.

Only problem is they tend to lose some bass on the thicker strings, and more difficult to play fast palm muted stuff. Otherwise they are great picks that give that very defined and thick clear attack that I've always envisioned.

I change picks when they bend significantly...

For me, I've just been sold on Dunlop Jazz III picks, 1mm. Damn thick, damn strong, and really good for shredding, pitch harmonics and all that cool stuff...

tried many, some are:

haha has anyone else tried the metal picks that are sold at swee lee?

heh, get one and try, you be scrapping on the surface of the strings and at the same time sharpening the edge of the pick

i have a metal pick from mid 90s till now, but no longer using, the edge can cut open skin if force down on the surface...
