What is your first drum cover?

hmm...
the first I covered was Candy by H.O.T....a really huge K-pop boyband years back...
Unexpected I know...but I loved their song arrangements.
and I still do...

Interesting choice of song to cover! You're probably the first drummer I know here that plays Korean songs.
Some of H.O.T songs are actually quite rock and jam-able man. I agree that they have some nice song arrangements too! :)

Lol...but the other band mentioned here are also cool.
:p

haha cool to hear you guys really went far for a start!
my first was Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. lol. really easy song, but i made it heavy metal-like. and now, it's my band's warm-up song.

hey guys.
new guy here.
erm.

mine was also my first band performance in my school's talentime.
started with punk,

so we played a sorta punk anthem,
Story of the Year - Until The Day I Die.
I added double stroke bass drum beats like those you play on double pedals/basses.
changed parts to paradiddles and the part going into the bridge, add broken hi-hat-snare patterns. heh.
makes it funky.

I dont know where to post this but here it goes. Well, what is ur first drum cover? Mine is Starlight by Muse. The song is quite catchy and needs to use hi-hats, bass, snare and tom-tom together at the same time. What about yours?

yeah my first cover was starlight by muse as well

My first drum cover is
Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack. I had to write the notes for this in a music sheet and practice for several times before I was able to successfully cover this. It's very memorable. Burn! Burn! Haha!
