What is your favourite Thrash Metal band?

Meshuggah is quite thrashy to me during their younger days especially contradictions collapse. wouldnt take long for one to realise how much thrash is in that cd. yea sure they might not be true all out 'thrash till cannot thrash anymore' thrash.. but they're still kinda thrash.. just like some of the bands already mentioned here.

Mortal Sin's Mayhemic Destruction blows me. A band from the land of the kangaroos. One of their guitarist left before the second album, I think his name is Krstn or something like that. His sharp guitar sound was replaced by a new guy and their second album, though still ok, is just another thrash offering. After that, don't know what happened to them.

I've got face of dispair and revolution of the mind.

These guys are awesome. Even more awesome coz they're an aussie established metal band, like Lord.

superpunk ive got a vivoid mp3 album. I think they suck haha.

The only ST album i've got is Still cyco. I only had enough for one so i chose that coz it has subliminal and institutionalized, which are awesome songs :D

I wouldnt say Pantera are much of a thrashband. They went from glam metal --> plain and simple heavy metal. thats the way i see it anyhow.

true, i actually don't consider Pantera and Sepultura as thrash metal because they're a bit heavier. but they definitely have thrash metal roots so it's easier to just lump them in. heavy metal is so broad these days.

yeah i know Pantera started off glam but Phil used to roadie for Exhorder and that's where the thrash influence came in for Cowboys from Hell onwards. if you listen to Exhorder and Pantera you'll notice a similarity.

Voivod is one of those bands, like Sabbat, that sound different on each album. i guess you could say Testament too. the early stuff is much different from later albums. for Voivod the real thrash albums are War & Pain and Rrroooaaarrr.
