guys come on share what is your fav pick and why you like it :)
i'll start off with mine first, i like dunlop delrin 1.5 the purple one, reason because i'm a yngwie fan~ haha what about you?:p

Stubby picks in the small thumb size version. 2.0mm. The only pick that I've truly loved for many years.
Beats my V-Picks anyday to me.

+1 to Stubbys... i'm using the 3.0mm, regular sized version. i've tried just too many picks...

v-pick + dunlop ultex jazz 3. using the ultex jazz 3 more frequent nowadays. v-picks are super awesome anyway. improved my picking technique by n times!

I used to use the Awe-in-one pick alot last time, pretty awesome pick! Now its just jazz III as it is widely avaiable in most shops.

hmmm tried all picks and besides the ibanez paul gilbert white and black picks, nothing comes close to the jazz iii XL. granted i was using the jazz iii standard before but i found it too small and kept seeing flying picks when i start strumming. btw where do u guys get ur jazz iii max grip and the ultex jazz iii?? the only other jazz iii i could find other than the small and XL are the prime tone ones... :(

For me it's difficult to say. I use a wide variety of picks and they've all got their different strengths and weaknesses... but I generally prefer Jim Dunlop picks. I use Nylons for acoustic and Tortex mediums for electric. But I sometimes use other picks as well, if I'm feeling adventurous.

well given my acid sweaty fingers (thank god for coated strings) that tend to either send picks slipping into the sound-hole or flying off somewhere i'll never find it, i almost exclusively use Awe-in-one Profound 1 (the smaller ones) for electrics and JD nylons for a casual (slow) strum on my acoustic. For the following reasons:

1. both have very non-slip surfaces.
2. durable. i've used the same 2 picks for abt 2 years already (which is really good, given my insane picking attack)
3. the AIO Profound 1s make producing harmonics a breeze (which i do alot of)

but i do still buy other picks on and off (hey, they're cheap).
just that i will always have these 2 to rely on.

My fav : Dunlop Ultex Sharp 2.0mm. The notes sound fuller, high end is more crisp. They're also very durable.

For electric, i use Jazz IIIs. For acoustic, currently its Tortex .5 or .6. My tastes tend to change though, especially with regard to thickness, so i have almost 20 different picks with me now.

My preferred picks are Dunlop Tortex picks. Currently use the 0.73 and the 0.86 for rhythm. If I play solo, I'll switch to the 1.14 Stubby version, if not a Jazz III pick

I really wanted to like V-picks but I just could not stand the pick chirp that came along with them. Granted, they do make playing more comfortable for me but I can't stand hearing that tweet tweet tweet sound when I'm playing especially when strumming clean chords.

I only use Dunlop Jazz IIIs and only the XL picks. I can't get used to the smaller ones. Jazz IIIs wear out pretty fast, but they are cheap so I buy many.

wear out fast?? u kidding me, cant wear out as fast as the primetones or the paul gilbert red picks. those 2 wear out in one jamming session!! the jazz iii XL still last me at least 3 or 4 months. anyway i'm still seraching for the ultex jazz IIIs and the max grip jazz IIIs. anyone know where to get them??

still, +1 to the jazz III XL. made strumming easier for me lol

About 2 months of constant use. Pick scrapping, hard picking and all that crap.

I have about 6 of them lying on top of my amp so rotation between them make the picks last much longer obviously. Who cares, they are so cheap.
