What happened to the Astroninja thread?

Eh please lah all those talking about respect and shit. James is obviously getting personal on Levan here. I am not saying he can't, afterall he created and owns SOFT. But I am saying that if he truly wants SOFT to be ideal, he has to treat SOFT and its matters and his own personal thoughts seperate.

For what talk so much about idealism and making SOFT a better place if the owner is going to infuse and portray strongly his personal feelings into the forum?

And I am saying all this because, like him or not, Levan has contributed some EXCELLENT stuff to this forum. Look up his old threads, if they still exist here, and read them. You will realise that he himself honestly cares for the music scene here, and posts very good information or thoughts and advice.

James, why ban Levan? You are denying him the chance to give us advice. Do you understand? You are denying first hand advice from a local artiste who has made it, and even so, still bothers to post heartfelt and detailed pieces of advice here. I think this kind of advice is VERY useful, regardless of whether people think the source of it is a jackass or not.

do you know this sentence is very sensitive? James does care about this forum and it's overall wellbeing,he is a part of the local scene as much as the rest of us,i am not sure about you yourself. But do you think he care less about local scene? You are implying him misusing his rights and power,but let me ask you,what right has levan got to hurl insults or meaningless sms to attack James personally?

Ridethetiger, I recognise that James has done alot and cares ALOT for the scene. But you misunderstand me. I am not, in any way, saying that Levan has any right to insult James.

What I am saying is that James, if he wishes to bring idealism into SOFT, should rise above this matter and not ban levan from SOFT, a public forum, for personal reasons.

Many of us I'm sure, myself included, regularly donate an amount to SOFT. SOFT has grown big enough to generate a decent amount of advertising revenue too. James HAS to take into perspective other user's interests. And my interests are the pieces of advice Levan randomly gives. Seriously go read them, they are VERY insightful.

Keeping him banned, especially after his current band Astroninja has had such a breakthrough, is DIRECTLY DENYING us vital pieces of advice or an artiste's personal thoughts after such an event.

I ask you, do ANY of you here have first hand information about a band's thoughts after they have had such a breakthrough?

I would call Astroninja an overnight sensation or phenomenon or "made it' when they start touring the globe and performing to full packed stadiums.As far as i have observed,there is nothing really "Breakthru" about the whole Astroninja thing. It is not that i won't support them if their records are available at stores.

But calling what James did as bringing idealism to his own judgements and standards are too far fetching,what he did was only to rid S.O.F.T of potentially damaging cells.Why don't the people who looked up to Levan leave him a private msg thru Myspace or other contacts websites? Why must it be soft? Are you sure his "advices" are that constructive enough to guide everyone here?

He came back here again and again after countless of bans and warnings.

And seriously,if whatever that happened at Scape was for real,
Levan/Astroninja damn well deserved the thread ban.

Some people really don't know why he got banned.

Levan posts and innuendo joke and got a 3 day suspension. Makes a big hoohaa about it and starts posting under various accounts, undermining the whole purpose of his suspension. So James banned him for that i guess, but Levan himself said he wouldn't come back here if James does not welcome him anyway (or something along those lines).

To be honest, if i were Levan and i was suspended for something i deem harmless, i too would make a fuss over it..

Any of us if felt unfairly treated would make a fuss over it. Not saying that Levan was, but my guess is that is how he felt..

When i read about his 'offence' the one he was supposedly suspended for, i personally felt that it wasnt as crude/bad/negative implicating/ as some other stuff others have posted..

Then again we have to leave it to James to make an interpretation of the scenario and judge accordingly.

James's Judgement may not always be accurate as he is human too. Also i am unsure if he is banning Levan for the greater good or for personal reasons., but as the owner of the forum we should try our best to appreciate the stuff he has done such as setting up this forum, etc..

For those who do not know what actually happens behind the scene, i feel we have no right to comment and just support AstroNinja as a local band who has made a breakthru on the international scene.

Some musicians make great music but they do not necessarily make the greatest examples in real life. Its to each its own to follow.

I think first and foremost that James doesn't really owe anyone in this forum a living. Those who want to move away or keep threatening to should just do so. A little competition between forums should prove constructive.

Once public defamation or personal harassment comes into the picture, the situation can really only go downhill.

Levan once told me (in an sms) that he'd kick my ass if he saw me outside, i wouldn't be surprised if the content of his messages to James are similar, and it's an understatement to say that they're really really really annoying.

Also, this will be immature of me, and i'll get stones thrown at me by Levan's fans, but I just have to say that if he ever tries anything like he threatened, i'll defend myself by tying him to a chair and leave him to bask in the midday sun.

Sorry about that, but sometimes I just feel like saying dumb things once in a while.
