what exactly is TGM??

can anyone explain what is tgm?
i'm thinking of buying an acoustic(pure acoustic, no electronics) guitar from tgm
i browse through online websites, how come they have no model no.?(eg yamaha has like C40 etc)

are tgm acoustic guitars good? can anyone share?

the full name for tgm is The Guitar Man.

Well, this guitar is china made and is priced very cheaply but the QC is not very gd (especially the finishing, badly cut frets) and the action of guitar is usually very high.

There are quite a number of complains from guitarists (as I read from previous threads) however there might be "gems" among all....

If u plan to get this guitar, do think twice.

hmmm it's easy, cause it's cheap and within my budget.. i was just thinking if it isn't good.. then probably i'll just look for used guitars from better brands like yamaha etc..

TGM is like beginner guitars... if u plae well, u shud consider saving up for a good one. and i dun recommend yamaha either...

as far as i know, pacifica is good..

I've played a number of Yamahas and they were all very impressive. I also own a beat-up Yamaha F310 (it's a low-end Yamaha) and it can easily beat a lot of more expensive guitars in terms of tone and playability. In fact, my favourite acoustics are easily Yamahas.

As for TGMs.. Get one only if you plan to drop the hobby later, or suspect you will lose interest. If you're serious about it, save up more and get something of quality like Yamaha, Maestro or Takamine.

haha i dont mean to say anything bad, really! maybe its my sentence structure. its like i want to buy bread that says gardenia, but i dont know what is gardenia. so, the answer to his question is TGM is a brand, like gardenia is to bread! hehe.
